THE GREATEST loss in life is not death. If there's anything Amara has learned throughout her lifetime it's that the galaxy will go on whether you're here or not. It's kind of funny in a way, everything we do, say, and think matters but at the same time it's completely insignificant. The galaxy would be better off without the living, yet it keeps us close. It allows us to live and it allows us to remain living. And that counts for something. That is why death is not the greatest loss in life. The world keeps you for as long as it can but death is inevitable, it is apart of life. Internal death on the other hand is not inevitable, it is not something the world planned for us to face yet it is something we will all struggle with in life. It is something thrust upon us as we grow old, as we see the people for who they truly are. You see, the greatest loss in life is what dies inside of us while we live.

Amara let out a heavy sigh as she heaved herself out of the pilots chair. A small groan rumbled from her throat and her face twisted in pain as her feet hit the ground. She forced herself to take a step, the action causing a searing pain to ripple up her leg. A cry of pain scratched at her throat but she forced it down. Without the adrenaline running through her veins, the pain that came with the overuse of her leg rung freely. "Where are you going?" K2 asked as he looked away from the blue funnel of hyperspace ahead of them to Amara.

"To rest." Amara said as she turned to walk out of the cockpit and into the main body of the ship where everyone else sat. Though she would make it barely a step until she'd pause her steps to halt herself from nearly colliding into Cassian's back as he spoke into the headpiece. "Who are you talking to?" He had taken off his fur lined jacket early on within their departure from the rupturing planet and instead opted to wear a navy vest with a yellow patch over his right shoulder instead. Cassian looked over his shoulder to her with a look on his face that all but screamed not now. "If you would, put in a word to the general that I wish to speak with my friend once you two are done."

Cassian put his hand over the microphone in front of his mouth before speaking. "This is hardly a time for you to catch up with a friend."

A scowl formed on Amara's face. "I don't wish to catch up with her." She stated. "I wish to speak with her."

"You know just as well as I do the General will not grant this call you desire." Cassian said before removing his hand from the microphone. "Yes, General. I understand." He said as he turned away from Amara and back to the device in front of him.

A small sigh emitted from Amara as she turned away from Cassian to resume her walk to the hull. A gloom hung over the space around them, the strength of it nearly winding Amara as she entered the space. The pain was not hidden from anyone's face as they all stared at the ground. Jyn and Cirrut had occupied two of the six seats while Baze and the pilot, who Amara still had no name for, sat off in opposite corners. It was like she breathing through a thick smoke as Amara walked further into the hull. The guilt she had felt clawed at her skin and despair hung onto her very soul.
