"ORDERS"
BETRAYAL DOESN'T come from your enemies. As sad and damning as it is, betrayal always comes from those closest to you. It's disappointing to know that every time you put your trust into someone, you're also opening yourself up for betrayal. But in the end, not even the seeing could make of betrayal's heavy presence. It is something that flows under the radar until it erupts and brings everything crashing down. It is perhaps the most invisible of the galaxy's deceptions. All it takes is the right actor.
"How about now?" Bodhi asked as he finished tinkering with the ship. "Check stabilizers."
The screen before her never stopped blinking red. "No." Amara shook her head. "Nothing."
The familiar hiss of the door opened causing Amara to lift her head from her work to find Cassian walking into the ship, his clothing and hair now soaked from the rain outside. "How bad is it?" Amara asked, though in a sense she also feared his answer. It wouldn't matter what they could fix inside if the ship itself was unrepairable with the little tools they had and judging by the grim look on Cassian's face, it was unrepairable.
"Bodhi." He addressed the pilot as he took off his vest, ignoring Amara's question in the process. "Where's the lab?"
Bodhi turned in the pilot's seat to face Cassian. "The research facility?" He asked.
"Yeah." Cassian confirmed as he hung his vest up to dry. "Where is it."
"It's just over that ridge." Bodhi answered.
"That's a shuttle depot straight ahead of us. You are sure of that?" Cassian questioned as he grabbed his fur lined coat and placed it on himself.
"Yes." Bodi said with a firm nod.
"We'll have to hope there's still an Imperial ship left to steal." Cassian said a he walked towards Bodhi, Amara, and K2 who all flooded the cockpit. "Here's what we're doing. Hopefully the storm keeps up and keeps us hidden down here. Bodhi..." He slammed a spare poncho into Bodhi's chest, catching the pilot by surprise. "You're coming with me. We'll go up the ridge and check it out."
"I'm coming with you." Jyn declared.
"No, your father's message." Cassian dismissed her idea as he added an extension to his blaster "We can't risk it. You're the messenger."
"That's ridiculous." Jyn protested. "We all got the message. Everyone here knows it."
"One blast to the reactor module and the whole system goes down." K2 recited the message to prove Jyn's point. "That's how you said it, the whole system goes down."
