Your shyness always kicked you in the ass, it didn't matter what the situation was. It always would win, no matter how much you cried, or tried to fight it. Frankly it was exhausting, it stopped you from doing so many things. You were even surprised you got your boyfriend Robert, ESPECIALLY since he was the singer of Led Zeppelin. Yknow one of the biggest bands in the world??
Sometimes you felt like you were in his way constantly, the amount of parties he's missed out because of you was embarrassing. You told him to go without you but unless it was really important he would stay home and it made you feel terrible.
This was one of those bad nights, you finally talked Robert into going without you. You told him you'd have a lot of fun at home, which was semi true but you still felt like shit. This was an important party for the new record and you got yourself so nervous you almost puked. How pathetic!
You lay in bed crying, in a way it was nice to do it alone but then you heard the door open. With a groan you quickly wiped the tears off your face and tried to slap your cheeks to make yourself look normal again. Unfortunately it was too late and Robert knew something wasn't right.
"Darling, what's wrong?"
Sniffing your nose, you sat up. "I just wish I wasn't like this."
"Like what??" Robert asked, rushing to your side of the bed. He sat down quickly, scooping you up in his arms, and holding you against his chest.
"My shyness...I should've gone tonight it was important."
"It's okay darling, I understand. You shouldn't feel so terrible just because of me." He gently ran a hand through your hair.
You slowly traced patterns on his sweater with your finger, "No, I need to get over this." There had to be someway for you to feel more comfortable at gatherings, or anyone at all. If other people can do it, so can you right?
Robert sighed slowly, "Y/N you know I love you more than anything, I love everything about you. I love your shyness I think it's the sweetest thing."
A little smile spread across your face, "Can you help me to get over this?"
He nodded, rubbing a thumb on your cheek. "Of course love, there's nothing I'd love more than to make you feel more confident about your incredible self."
