Mia woke up curled on to her side, the ground beneath her was hard and cold on her body, making her feel stiff and sore. She rolled onto her back and tried to focus her vision. Her senses were dulled and muted, making her feel queasy and nauseous, she tried to stand up however threw up on the nearby ground leaving vial behind, her stomach ached and she laid back down onto the ground.

The air surrounding her was crisp leaving the clearing surrounding her with frost bitten leaves. Surrounding that was a large forest mixed with a plethora of trees, the cold autumn air flowing through the leaves, leaving a bone deep chill behind. In the distance the mountains loomed over the surrounding forest, leaving a darkness in its wake.

She carefully sat up and looked down upon herself. They had changed her into a padded worn leather jacket, with thick black leggings which she thanked had leggings, and black running shoes. She shivered feeling uncomfortable with what they could have done.

She looked down at her wrist where the restraints were, there was very faint scarring however that appeared to be fading. She winced as she pulled her sleeve up to see a newly inked tattoo engraved into her skin. The number 2071 was on her skin, she stared at it for a moment dumbfounded, the tattoo had, had time to settle and was healed. How long had she been out she wondered to herself, touching her fingers to the tender skin.

Once she felt less nations she got up from the ground and patted the leaves and dirt off of her and looked around, listening for anything that would be able to help her with where she was. The more she gained her bearings the more she realized she felt on edge, like she was being watched. She decided the best course of action was to get out of the clearing, and she carefully made her way over to a nearby tree, her legs feeling like jello, making her stumble more than once.

She leaned against a large tree and stretched her legs, trying to get the feeling to come back. Her heart raced, even though she wanted to relax, this was the first time she was free in months, however she had the shaking suspicion she was being watched. She tried to relax guessing it was a hungry animal that would go on its way soon.

However she was too conditioned to feel relaxed. She allowed herself to cry quietly for the first time in months with relief, as she decided to start walking, her heart settled a bit that she wasn't in pain, and that she wouldn't be shocked trying to ignore the feeling of being followed.

Her legs carried her after a while and they made their way through the forest making her way to the base of the mountain, and as her legs began to burn she wished ever so much that she could shift, and become powerful to protect herself. She was practically human until she shifted for the first time, then her abilities would be of use to her for now she was stuck with her human self.

As she made her way to the base of the mountain the fear started to coat her insides making her feel nauseous all over again, the terrain slopped and she sped up her steps, feeling extremely uncomfortable, she could hear sounds in the distance causing her heart to pound.

The smell of fresh clean air smacked her upside of the face as she broke through the tree line, she filled her lungs before hurriedly making it down the bank to the large river.

Fear prickled through her as she stood back to the water and looked out the sun shining down on her, warming her slightly. The shadows loomed before her in the tree line, she watched it carefully made her way down the river.

Why was she here she thought to herself, and what was following her. She missed being back home, at least back there she knew what the expectations of her were. Now she had no idea what was done to her or where the hell she was.

She forced herself to calm her breathing, reminding herself she didn't need to be stressed to survive and thought about telling Brian to go and fly a kite, making herself feel slightly better.
