You slid your finger against the bottom half of your lip rubbing harshly at the lipstick that now left a tint on your lips, walking through the crowd you found a napkin and quickly removed the remaining portion off of your lips before it was all completely off. Once you had been satisfied you had thrown the napkin in the trash surveying the room for the nearest server making your way to him. You smiled and grabbed a glass of champagne from the silver platter as he smiled at you causing you to raise your glass slightly and nod before turning back to the man who ruined your night single handedly.
Your boyfriend, Jason, and bestfriend, Mariah had been laughing over in the corner of the room where you had earlier found them deep into each other's tongue causing your heart to shatter into a million pieces. But you took a deep breath and walked over to them grabbing their attention for the first time tonight.
"Hey y'all, I'm really tired and worn out I think I'm going to call it a night" you said as you watched them muster fake sympathetic looks.
"Awe baby, come on the night is still young" Jason said as your best friend jumped in,"Yeah the party's just now starting", she said laughing as you smiled.

"Yeah but you know me, I'm the old one. Who has to work tomorrow so I'll just see you guys later" you said waving them off as they then found themselves completely ignoring you and continuing their conversation.
You sighed as you began to make your way through the crowd when you knocked something over, unaware of what it was you bent slightly picking up a beeper and standing to face the owner. Lloyd Avery casted a sweet smile as you handed him his beeper.
"Sorry about that, I wasn't really paying attention" you said softly as you continued to the elevator without waiting for his response.
When you had reached the safety of the elevator you clicked the main floor and just as the doors were going to close you saw a hand slip between the doors causing you to become more alert as Lloyd Avery had walked inside and stood opposite of you.
"Leaving so soon?" he asked causing you to laugh.
"I mean we're both in this elevator aren't we?" you said as he chuckled shrugging his shoulders.
"The night is young as are you." he said, causing you to shiver due to the deja-vu moment.
"Ahh, but that is where you are wrong for I am the female Benjamin Button, Benjina nice to meet you." you said, causing him to laugh,"Plus, tonight is quickly becoming such a horrible romcom movie. Where you attend a party with your girlfriend or boyfriend and quickly find them making out with your best friend but they don't know and lie through their teeth. I guess maybe everyone could be an actor."
You said hurtful as the hot tears began to prick your eyes blinding your vision as Lloyd stood and said nothing. The elevator ding had been so loud that you jumped at the sound as you had started to become familiar with the silence. Walking out your eyes were ruled to the ground not hearing the car approaching or paying any mind to your surroundings as a strong hand gripped your arm pulling you away from danger.
"Well, Benjina does your romcom movie involve death?" he said, causing you to laugh shaking your head.
"It could have. Thanks." you said ready to walk down the street but heard your name being yelled from the lobby.
"(Y/N)!" Jason yelled "You sure you don't want to stay? They just started playing the good tunes that we can get down to."
He said, causing your Mariah to giggle. Lloyd's hand still gripping your arm, he felt your body begin to shake and he could only assume that these people here were the cause of your troubles.
"Actually me and Ms. (Y/N) here have movie business to discuss." Lloyd said swiftly not missing a beat as he dragged you over to his car opening the door for you, allowing you to get inside before closing your door and making his way to his.
No words were exchanged as he pulled out of the parking spot and down the street.
"So Ms. (Y/N), got a last name?" he asked, eyes steady on the road
"Yeah, Lynn. (Y/N) Lynn, thanks for saving me back there." you said looking outside the window feeling the soreness of your feet
"Do you mind if I change my shoes?" you said digging through your bag as a soft 'no' slipped out of his mouth, finally finding your Ugg moccasins and dumping your heels in your bag you began to feel more comfortable minus the fact that you were in a celebrities car.
"You hungry?" Lloyd asked as he pulled up to a red light
"Starving, rich people parties don't feed people well." you said causing him to burst out laughing
"A girl with an appetite is my kind of girl, you mind McDonald's, it's my cheat day but don't tell anyone." he said causing you to smile
"You have my word, scouts honor." you say and he smiles
"Bet you weren't even a scout." he drives by with ease
"The world may never know." you say staring back to the window smiling, shitty evening and a better start night.
