After Defense Against the Dark Arts, I rushed to the Gryffindor common room in search of the only two pranksters I know. "George? Fred?" I called out hoping they would pop up somewhere.
I called out one more time, "Are you guys here?" I sat on the couch and after a second George was to my left and Fred was to my right. "What's going on?" They both said in sync.
I stand up so I can look at both of them, "I need your help with a prank." they look at each other and grin. "I thought I'd never see the day," said George. "What do you mean? I love pranks." I said but Fred scoffed.
"Sure." they both said as he and George laughed. "You didn't say that when we replaced your conditioner with toothpaste." George nodded his head to Fred's words. "I had toothpaste in my hair for a week! I just don't like it when I'm the victim of one of your pranks, but I love pranking."
They both say at the same time "If only we knew that." I sigh, "Now you do." and smile.
"Well, who do you need us to prank?" Fred asks.
"Malfoy."
Their eyes widen, "Malfoy? What did he do?" George says and Fred comments, "Besides being a little twat." I laugh.
"Well, He decided to put Babbling Beverage in my pumpkin juice at lunch." They both look at each other and laugh loudly. "That's a good one." They both say and I roll my eyes.
"Are you going to help me get him back or not?" They grin, "Of course we are." says George. I nod, "So what's the plan?"
We spent a few hours conspiring. There were lots of brilliant ideas but none of them seemed to be enough to make Draco really angry, all except one.
We decided to go forth with the plan the next day during lunch in the great hall. I woke up excited. I remembered it was Saturday and Harry wasn't able to make it. He had an interview with Rita Skeeter. Well, he and the other champions, so we had to ask Ron and Hermione for some help. Harry did let us use his invisibility cloak though, which was a great honor...for Ron at least. He has been dying to use that thing for years.
Hermione pulled out a potion. "So this is going to turn me into Malfoy?" I asked and she nodded. "It's called PolyJuice Potion. I found some ingredients in professor Moodys office on accident."
"Professor Moody? What is he doing with PolyJuice Potion?" Hermione shrugged. "I mean he is friends with Professor Snape...I dunno." She said. I was a little suspicious but I shook it off.
Ron was still mad at me from our argument the other day but Fred and George had gotten him to help anyway. Hermione, Ron, and I sat in the common room waiting for the twins to return with a few strands of Malfoy's hair to put in the potion.
A few minutes later they burst through the common room and George pulled out what seemed to be platinum blonde hair from his pocket. "How in the bloody hell did you two get Malfoy's hair?" Ron said in utter confusion.
"Just knacked it off 'em!" George said.
"Just like that?" I questioned.
"Yeah, why not. He was really disturbed though and he even cursed at us a little bit but he'll be alright." Fred commented which made me laugh. I couldn't believe it."Okay, now we don't have much time! Throw it into the glass." Hermione yanked the hairs from George and plopped them into the potion. She took a gulp and passed it to Ron. He drank it and passed it to me. I gulped nervously and drank the rest.
I instantly began to feel uneasy. I screwed my eyes shut and opened them a few moments later. I looked at my hands and didn't recognize them. "It worked?" I mumbled to myself.
