Ron and I stepped off the train to find Mr. and Mrs. Weasley standing on the platform waiting for us. Ginny, Percy, and the twins were already off the train.
I headed over to Mrs. Weasley and she hugged me tightly "Nice to see you dear! You can tell me all about how Hogwarts was when we get back to the burrow." I smile and follow them to the car.
When we got home, everyone was in a rowdy mood as always. I went up to my room to quickly unpack everything and I heard a knock at my door. Mrs. Weasley slowly opened the door, "So How was it?"
I smile, "Well, Harry knows we're related. Ron and Hermione know as well. I haven't told Ginny or the twins yet." Her eyes widen slightly and she presses her lips together.
"What was their reaction? How are you feeling? Did you tell them about you know who...?" She flooded me with questions, I decided not to tell her that I regrettably told Malfoy about my parents. That was a mistake, I mean his parents are Death Eaters what was I thinking.
"No, I didn't tell them. Ron was mad for a while, but he came around. Harry and I got along really well." She sits on the edge of my bed "Well that's nice." I smile politely.
I walk over from my dresser to slowly close the door, "I don't know if I am going to tell them though, I mean if Ron got mad over that then imagine when he finds out-" I begin to ramble. She interrupts me trying to calm my nerves.
"Don't worry about Ronald. You don't have to tell them now anyway." I sigh still knowing I had to tell them somehow. Maybe it was easier if I just distanced myself from them.
Mrs. Weasley and I talked for a little longer, I told her about Sirius and Professor Lupin. I also mentioned how I knew my mom was a marauder and about Pettigrew.
The rest of the summer went by pretty fast. Hermione would write to me and Ron almost every week. Harry tried his best with keeping in touch.
Ginny was the next to know I and Harry were related. She gasped "You and Harry are related? By blood?" I nodded. She smiled "That's mad! But I have to admit it's pretty cool." We both laugh. She's had a thing for Harry for a while. She tells me about him sometimes. She doesn't like to admit that she actually likes him.
When I told Fred and George they were both in shock, it wasn't much of a conversation. They kept making jokes, "And here I thought you and Harry would hit it off," Fred said as he winks while George smirked, I groaned. "Of course not!" they both laughed.
Nothing too crazy happened during the summer. Although I did get a letter from Draco, I didn't reply.
Evans,
I know you don't forgive me but I am sorry. I was being stupid. You know how it is when I'm around others...I don't know how to act, really. I hope you can forgive me. I still wanted to meet during the summer like we
planned, at Hogsmeade?
-Malfoy
I did consider writing back but I stood against it. I know he's sorry but it's just not enough this time. He always goes back and forth. I knew if I were to just forgive him he would do the same thing again. I hated having to apologize to my friends because of him.
Plus, I've matured...I realize that me and Malfoy being friends is wrong, and will never work out. It's best to leave it behind now.
