Just a Dream - Chapter 15

Serenity POV :

"The time is here, the time to fear. "

The words echoed through my mind.

I sat up instantly taking in my surroundings. I was no longer on the couch... No longer in jacobes house. I was somewhere in a beautiful field. It was nearly dawn and the image laid in front of me was breath taking.

"The chosen one has arrived, soon it will come the time. " the voice echoed again

I jerked my head to the source of the strong but soft voice and saw the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on. She was about 5 foot 5 and had dark skin that seemed to glow in the early morning light. Her hair was jet black and hung way past her waist. She had a small petite frame but somehow looked so strong so powerful.

I gasped taking her in. She was so new to me but yet so firmiliar.

She smiled a sad smile. "Trust in yourself to thy heart be true, for your soul shall mate with not one but two."

I cocked my head confused. That was impossible.

"Moon Goddess?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Come to me my child. We must talk". She whispered reaching out her hand.

I took her hand and started to walk slowly next to her as she spoke.

" The time is here, the time to fear. The chosen one has arrived it will soon come the time. To thy heart be true for your soul shall mate with not one but two. The future of our race falls in your loving hands. Without a mothers love we don't stand a chance. The boy, with not one father but three, the time will come where he will lead. Death, betrayal and worse to fear. So much must be sacrificed my dear. Don't worry your head don't you fear, together as a whole you have no need to fear."

And with that she faded away with the rising sun.

"Moon goddess!" I shouted out in a plea, "please I'm so confused! What does any of this mean?!"

I had no idea what had just happened. I heard a branch break behind me I turned quickly and my heart ached at what I saw. The scene before me ripped my heart from my chest. Then I saw him. I dont know what he was but he was coming. For me.

I screamed and fell to the ground holding my head in my hands shaking.

"Ser!" His velvety voice pulled me out of the hell that was confined to my head. "Ser, look at me what's wrong?! What's the matter? " he pleaded obvious concern on my face.

I collapsed into his arms in a pile of sobs. "A D-dream", I sob, " it was just a dream." I managed to choke out.

But in my mind I knew it was much much more than that. I just couldn't admit it to myself. Not yet.
