****** Okay so I know its been forever since I have uploaded anything and I am horribly sorry, I want to make it up to all of you so I am trying to update atleast 3 chapters tonight, or by tomorrow at the latest. I have been taking your advice and trying to slow things down a bit so this chapter isnt all that eventful. But I hope you like it! If you have any other suggestions for me please dont be shy! Serenity’s POV
Jacobe grabs my bags and I finish putting Jace into his car seat. I look up at Aiden and he wraps his arms around me in a tight hug.
“It will all be okay,” he whispers in my ear. “Let me walk you out”.
I nod.
He picks up Jace’s car seat and starts walking down stairs.
Once we get to the car Aiden kisses Jace on the head and says goodbye, then wraps me up into one of his infamous bear hugs.
“You take care of them,” He states, not quite in his alpha tone but more in his I’m trusting you tone to Jacobe.
“With my life,” Jacobe nods.
I buckle Jace in and climb in the front seat, letting out a huge sigh.
“Thanks for getting here so quickly,” I mumble chewing on my lip.
“I will always be there when you need me,” Jacobe replies starting up the car.
As we pull out of the drive way of the pack house I watch as Aiden slowly disappears.
I feel myself relax a little being away from Ethan, from all of the drama. I needed this, I need a break.
“Are you hungry?” Jacobe says breaking the barriers in which my thoughts had walled me in.
“Umm,” I start, looking at the clock, 9:13 am “Yeah, I could eat.”
“Any preferences?” He smiled
I shook my head, “Where ever you want to go.”
He smiled to himself and kept driving on in silence.
I took a minute to look at him; I mean really look at him for the first time. He was stunningly handsome.
His rigid features put Ethan to shame. How had I never noticed this before?
He had messy black hair, the kind that practically begs you to run your fingers through it, piercing blue eyes that seemed to peer directly into my soul. He had sharp cheek bones and flawless skin. My eyes trailed downward taking in his sculpted body, noticing how his black t-shirt clung effortlessly to his hard abdomen. My eyes returned to his face his plump lips begging me to kiss them, the way they curve up to reveal his blinding white smile. He was the image of perfection.
I saw his lips curve in to a stunningly sexy smirk, and then they began to move. Why were they moving? Words, oh god. He was talking to me.
“Serenity?” he chuckled, “We are here”
“Oh, “I said trying to play it cool, “I wasn’t even paying attention”.
He laughed and got out of the car doing that extremely alluring smirk.
“Oh god,” I sigh to myself unbuckling my seat belt, “he knows I was checking him out”.
Jacobe’s POV
From the looks of things I got there right in time, that dumb ass Ethan had put his grimy little hands on my mate.
But one good thing came out of today, she was with me now. Even if only for a couple days. She and Jace are right where they belong.
As we pull away from her home I hear Serenity breath out a sigh of relief.
"Thanks for getting there so quickly," she mumbled.
My heart fluttered as I realize that this was definitely a step in the right direction.
"I'll always be there when you need me." I reply.
And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
I don't want to go to the pack house yet. I don’t want to have to share them with anyone yet.
"Are you hungry" I ask innocently enough for her not to realize I was being selfish.
"Umm," she said pulling herself from her thoughts, "Yeah... I could eat."
I couldn’t help but smile at how beautiful she is.
"Any preferences?" I add.
"Nope, Where ever you want to go" she smiles.
Her smile could end a war. It’s so bright so beautiful, she’s so perfect. How did I ever get so lucky to have this symbol of beauty be mine?
I look in the rear view mirror to a silent Jace. I love him like my own, and I will raise him as my own. I hope Ser decides not to have that waste of space sperm donor in the picture. However if she wants him around I will let that happen. I’m not going to keep them away from him after all he is his true father, but if Serenity doesn’t want him around, I will be honored to make that happen.
I look back at her, she’s starting at me. It looks as if she’s eating me up with her eyes. I see her glance down at my abdomen. Is she really checking me out?
Her eyes return to my face.
"Serenity?" I say aloud turning off the car and taking the key out of the ignition, not doing a thing to hide how good it made me feel that she was looking at me like a piece of candy. "We are here".
She mumbles something about not paying attention as a get out of the car, trying so hard not to jump up and down like a little kid.
I open her door and she gets out. I get Jace out of the back seat and head into the little cafe.
I think this very well could be the start of something new.
