Serenity’s POV
I can hear Aiden crying, I want to reach out to him but I can’t move I can’t speak either. I just want to comfort him. I can’t stand him being like this. He keeps saying he loves me over and over again and it’s breaking my heart.
I focus on trying to open my eyes, I don’t know how I’m going to do it, and all I know is that I have to.
After what seems like an eternity I still have had no luck.
Then I felt a little flutter in side of me and sharp pain. The baby. I thought. My baby… is he or she okay? It has to be. I don’t want to live if I lose this baby. Besides Aiden it’s the only thing that makes my life worth living.
Suddenly that smell hits me.
“Mate”, my wolf whimpers.
“He is NOT my mate” I snap at her “Ethan is”
“How is she?” Jacobe’s velvety voice sounded through my ears.
“Not any better”, Aiden whispered.
I wanted to scream that I was fine. But was I really fine?
I didn’t care about me… Save my baby.
I felt a kiss on my forehead and Jacobe’s smell wrapped around me.
My wolf began pushing harder and harder to open our eyes. She longed to see him, needed him to hold her. Me on the other hand, I couldn’t care less.
But then it happened, bit by bit I was slowly able to push my eyes open.
I looked into Aiden’s eyes “I love you more,” I whispered barely audible.
His head instantly swung in my direction.
“SER!” he rejoiced, “Thank god you’re awake”.
“My b-baby how is my baby” I was barely able to squeak out due to my weak state.
“Shhhh… “Aiden whispered. “ Save your strength until the doctor gets here.”
Aiden’s POV
I honestly don’t know what time or day it is, or if its day or night. I’m slowly losing hope both for my baby sister and her unborn child.
Ethan has not returned to try to visit her. It’s probably a good thing. I might rip him to shreds if I see him.
Jacobe walked in “How is she?” he asked concerned.
Jacobe was Serenity’s true mate; he is the alpha of our neighboring pack The Silver Moon Pack. However Ser had yet to accept him as her mate. She is to in love with Ethan.
“She’s not doing any better,” I barely got out the words because of the huge lump in my throat.
Then I heard it, a barely audible weak voice,
“I love you more”. It said.
“SER!” I screamed.
I couldn’t believe it. She was awake.

I paced back and forth in my room hoping, praying that she would wake up. I needed her to wake up.
I shouldn’t have ended things with her. She’s the mother of my child for Christ sake! I need to be there for them… After all I do love her. I’ve always loved her, since we were six years old and she beat me at soccer.
I remember the look on her face, she was so happy. Her black hair blowing in the wind. She was so gorgeous, and she still is.
But Nicole … she’s amazing. She deserves to be happy… she deserves a mate without a baby on the way one that loves her and only her. I can’t give her what she deserves. I haven’t marked her yet… she deserves to be happy.
I know what I have to do.
I walked to her room.
“Nicole,” I called out as she walked around the corner. “We need to talk.”
I looked down. This was going to be so hard… but I had to do it.
“What is it babe?” she asked
“I can’t be your mate Nicole,” I said looking her in the eyes so she knew I was serious.
My wolf whimpered begging me not to do this.
“What?” she said “you know what happened to her wasn’t your fault right?”
“I love her Nicole, I’m sorry but it’s over,” I replied.
She opened her mouth to speak but the reluctantly nodded her head.
“You should go to her…”she whispered “she needs you.”
I nodded and said “I really am sorry”.
“She will never love you like I do Ethan… we were meant for each other.” She added sadly in one last attempt to change my mind.
“No Nicole… our wolves were meant for each other, the human part of me was made for Ser.”
And with that I walked away.
Serenity’s POV
*5 days later*
I ran towards the clearing in the woods to meet Ethan. When I came around the corner he was already standing in front of the big oak tree. We had been dating for 3 months now and I got butterflies every time I saw him.
“I have a surprise for you,” he whispered in my ear. Then he stepped away from the tree revealing our names in a heart.
“I love you”, he whispered in my ear putting a beautiful necklace around my neck.
I smiled, that was the first time I heard him say those words.
I woke up to Aiden yelling at someone.
“GET OUT”, he screamed. “SHE DOESN’T WANT TO SEE YOU”
“SHES CARRYING MY CHILD AIDEN!” Ethan screamed back. “I NEED TO KNOW SHES OKAY!”
“Stop yelling”, I whimpered. “What do you want Ethan”.
“You don’t have to talk to him Ser” Aiden said.
“It’s fine, really. “ I assured him.
“How are you?” Ethan asked.
“Hanging in there” I answered.
“And the baby?” he added.
I shrugged my shoulders fighting back tears. “They won’t tell me anything”. I barely managed to get out.
“Ser.” He said grabbing my hand.
A low growl erupted from Jacobe.
“Look I know I messed up, I really do. But I love you Ser I love you so much.” He said staring into my eyes. “I broke things off with Nicole, she’s not the one for me Ser you are. It’s always been you.
He got down on one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous ring I’ve ever seen.
“Serenity Dawn Star, will you please forgive me for my stupidity and do I the honor of being my wife?”
