The Forgotten- Chapter 20

Blaze:

I saw the color drain from her cheeks at the sound of his name.

Most everyone knew part of why she didn't ever want to see him again.

But I was the only one that knew the whole story.

Mordakye was Serenity's first love. Her first kiss. He even took her virginity.

He used to tell her he knew they were mates even though it was impossible to know until they both turned 18.

Serenity gave him everything and Kye took it and broke her heart.

Everyone knows that. But what they don't know is she caught him sleeping with someone else.

"Its no big deal Ser," he joked. "Its not like were mates anyway."

That was the last thing he said to her.

After two years of telling her she was the only one for him and he knew they were destined for each other he ripped her heart out.

For a while he had tried to continue sleeping with her on the side.

He was always around because he was Aidens best friend.

Serenity ultimately gave him a second chance one that he blew in less than a week.

After that she broke down. She wouldn't eat she wouldnt sleep. She was a shell of her former self.

It broke my heart to see her that way.

I knew that seeing him again would reopen old wounds that took her so long to heal.

Ethan, being the jackass he is played into her vulnerability. He swooped her up without a second thought.

Serenity was looking for love in all the wrong places and I knew it was because she felt empty inside. No matter how hard I tried I failed to show her how I see her through my eyes. To show her that she didn't need to prove herself to anyone.

I refuse to let him hurt her again. So anytime he is near I will be there for Ser.

Her happiness means more to me than she will ever know...

Serenity:

I felt numb at the mentioning of his name.

He was the first guy to make me feel worth something in this world.

He was also the first guy to break me.

The truth is I never truely recovered from Kye.

Nobody knew the real reason we broke up. No one but Blaze that is.

I hadn't seen Kye since 3 weeks before my 18th birthday. I was with Ethan at the time but that didn't stop him from trying to sleep with me.

I lost my virginity to him two days after I turned 16.

We had been going out for about 9 months at that point.

Then not long after I turned 17 he cheated on me. He ripped apart my entire universe.

Then I got with Ethan. He seemed to fill the void that Kye left.

I hadn't seen him in nearly 3 years.

I pushed all thoughts of him to the back of my mind.

I would deal with him when the time came.

"So baby sister," Aiden started "21 next weekend huh! How's it feel?"

"Feels like I need a drink!" I joked with him.

"Why don't you all stay for dinner?" Jacobe chimmed in.

He knew how much it meant to me having them here.

"Were having a pack dinner, its the perfect time to introduce you all to the pack" he added.

Aiden froze with a weird expression on his face starring at the door.

"Jeesh bro," I joked "it won't be that bad".

He stayed frozen.

There was a knock at the door.

" Come in!" I said confused.

"Mate." Aiden said jumping to his feet.

In came Rayne.

They stood there frozen for a minute taking each other in.

She smiled and ran to him envoloping him in a hug.

I snuggled a little closer to jacobe happy for Aiden.

"Welcome to the family" I said cheerfully.

A few hours later we descended the stairs to the pack kitchen where a lot of women were rushing around trying to finish the meal.

"Anything I can help with?" I asked them.

"No Luna go enjoy your family." An elderly woman answered.

Luna. That was going to take some getting used too.

We all got situated in the dining room waiting on the rest of the pack.

Aaron came in cheerfully picking me up in a spinning hug.

"This is our beta, Aaron", I giggled.

He froze mid hug with me just dangling there.

" Ermm, Aaron?" I joked. "Forgetting something?"

"Sorry Ser." He said sitting me down but never taking his eyes off whatever they were locked on.

I followed his gaze.

Cherokee.

Goodness again? I giggled.

"Go to her silly" I said pushing him.

Jacobe wrapped his arms around me.

"Guess everyone is getting along." He joked.

1 week later.

"Ser!" Cherokee yelled from the guest room. "Get ready! The party's in an hour!"

I swallowed the lump in my throat staring in the mirror.

"Show him what he missed out on." A deep voice said from behind me.

I turned to face Blaze.

"I don't know if I can do this." I said with a shakey voice holding back tears.

"Hey!" He said wrapping his arms around me. " I'll be right there with you."

I nodded turning back to the mirror. He was right. I had to show him I did just fine without him.

"Besides, today is your day! Your 21! " he said giving my shoulders a shake.

I sighed giving him a half hearted smile.

I headed to the bathroom for a quick shower.

After I threw on a pair of cut off jean shorts that showed off my legs and a cute crop top that said love on it.

I sat down in front of the mirror and did my make up and curled my hair.

I sold up and turned to see Blaze walking in.

"Ser, you rea-" he started. "Wow".

He looked me up and down as I pulled on my cowboy boots.

" Ready as I'll ever be." I sighed and we headed down to the car.
