Nightmares Relived -Chapter 19

Serenity:

I was sitting on the couch feeding Jace when someone knocked on the door.

'Who could that be?' I thought to myself.

Jacobe had left about an hour ago to deal with some pack business.

Before I could even finish setting Jace in his basinet to open the door it swung open.

"Hey sis!" Aiden said wrapping me in a tight hug. "I missed you!"

"Aiden? Cherokee? " I said hugging him back "what are you doing here?"

"We have a surprise for you!" Cherokee squealed.

I looked at her confused until I was tackled in  giant hug. I looked up to see a 5"6' girl with chestnut brown hair and chocolate colored eyes.

A girl I hadn't seen in what seemed like an eternity.

"Storm!" I squealed hugging her back. "What are you doing here?!"

"Didn't Aiden tell you? We are moving back." A husky voice said from being me. One I knew all to well. One that saved my life so many years ago.

"Blaze!" I screamed standing on my tippy toes to wrap my arms around his neck as he picked me up and spun me around. He was 6" 4' and resembled his sister.

Growing up all the girls threw themselves at him, but he never paid them no mind. He was waiting for his mate.

His mate.

"Where is Annaliegh?" I asked confused.

Sadness flashed before his eyes, and I could almost feel the heartache radiating off him.

I pulled back looking into his eyes. I hated seeing him like this.

We helped eachother through so much heartache growing up. I just wanted to take away his pain.

"She.." He said looking at the floor, no doubt holding back tears. "Our pack was attacked by rouges...Ser.. She didn't make it."

He hugged me tighter and I never wanted to let him go. I never could imagine what he was going through. To lose your mate.

I shivered at the thought of losing Jacobe.

Almost as if on que Jacobe walked through the door.

"The party didn't start without me did it?" He joked.

"Never", I smiled at him turning to him just wanting him to hold me and never let me go.

He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me into him kissing my cheek.

Cherokee and Storm looked at me wide eyed.

" When did this happen ?!" Cherokee squealed.

"Why didn't you tell us?!" Storm chipped in.

"Well," I giggled. "For starters, you moved halfway across the country!" I teased her.

Blaze and Storm moved to join Annalieghs pack when her and Blaze found eachother.

I looked at Blaze who gave me a sad smile.

"Well I'm here now!" She shot back.

"Boys out! " Cherokee demanded. "We got some catching up to do."

"Yeah, yeah we got it." Jacobe laughed. Squeezing me one last time.

"We have some pack business to handle anyways." Aiden added.

The trio walked off.

Blaze turned around and looked at me one last time

"I really missed you Ser." He said. "Its so good to see you again."

My heart felt like it was going to shatter into a million pieces.

"I missed you too Blaze." I said giving him a soft smile.

Poor Annaliegh I thought.

So many memories flashed before my eyes. Memories of the day he saved my life. 

I stood there frozen watching the madness that was unfolding before my eyes.

"Ser! Let's go" he shouted.

I couldn't move I couldn't breathe.

"Not without Aiden!," I cried to him.

I scanned the chaos in front of me. So much death. So much blood shed.

My eyes locked on my father and mother. He was trying so hard to protect her.

Rouges ran at them from every direction.

"Daddy!" I screamed running to him.

He looked at me as a rouge bit into his neck.
I just watched my father die.

I hadn't even realized I had stopped running.

Then I saw it.

A pitch black wolf staring at me from the trees. It was almost like he was smirking.

I went numb.

Something about him scared me so bad.

Before I knew it I was flying through the woods.

Someone was carrying me.

I looked up to see Blaze.

I punched and kicked as hard as I could.

"Let me go!" I screamed, "just let me die!"

"I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you serenity!" He yelled back clutching me tighter.

That was the night we both became orphans.

"Hello!" Cherokee said pulling me from my thoughts. "Earth to Serenity"

"Spill!" Storm chirped in.

I gave them a half hearted smile and told them every detail of what happened.

Including the reoccurring dream I was having.

"Its just a dream Ser," cherokee reassured me.

I nodded knowing in my heart it was much much more.

"Alright ladies, gossip time is over." Aiden smirked walking through the door.

Im not going to lie it felt good being surrounded by my family again.

"We have to discuss somethings" Jacobe started.

"Since Ethan stepped down from his position as beta in light of recent events." He said looking at me sadly. "Blaze will be resuming his old position."

"Welcome back" I said purposely bumping into him.

I crawled into Jakes lap.

"Secondly, in light of the rouge attacks we've decided to merge the packs into one. " he started.

"This will eliminate our weaknesses and add to our strengths. " Jacobe added.

"I agree!" I said cheerfully.

"Ser," Blaze said with a look that could only be described as torment. "There's one more thing."

I looked at him confused.

"Were combining three packs" he sighed. "You have to understand its in the best interest of our pack."

"Okay? " I said still not understanding

"Its Kyes pack Ser." He said looking sorry. "He ans his park are coming to the party to announce the news to all pack members."

I felt all color drain from my face.

"When." I spoke coldly.

"Next week." Aiden answered.

***** sorry! It would have been up sooner but my phone decided to delete it all when I was almost finished!!
