Part 6: Math tutor

    I was walking in the hallway to get some water when Sonny stopped me in my tracks.
    "I don't know what you are up to or what you think your doing, but your making a big mistake!" She pushed me aside.
  Sage walked passed me, she looked guilty. But I didn't care. She had done this to herself, joining Sonny and her "gang".
When I was walking back I couldn't help but over hear Sonny and Levi talking.
    "Levi...you told me you were having trouble with Math, and I'm pretty good at it so I thought you could meet me after school for tutoring!"
     "I dunno," Levi looked around the room like he wasn't very interested.
     " pweeaaassseee!" Sonny stepped closer to him, giving him her puppy dog eyes.
   "Sure I guess..."  he put his hand over his face like he was annoyed.
  That's why after school Levi couldn't walk home with me anymore. It didn't last long till I was back to the old grind.
I hated the old grind, I hated walking home alone, and even worse...having to run into Jax alone.
While I was walking home Jax caught up with me on his skateboard, "Hey there!"
"Ugh! Leave me alone!"
"That's not very nice of you to say!" He almost ran into me.
"You're so annoying!" I could feel a laugh coming but i tried to hold it in.
"Sooo I see jean dude isn't with you! And for some reason he doesn't get sarcasm or jokes, what a bummer!" He looked at me like I was gonna laugh but I just kept walking.
"Maybe you shouldn't be so mean to Levi, you guys could be good friends!" I broke the awkward silence.
"Pssh! Seriously! I'm not gonna be friends with that blonde hair perfect boy!"
"Are you insecure?" I looked up and he stopped.
"Hell no! Are u crazy? He's the last person I would be in—
I stopped to look at him, "Maybe you should think about being more considerate of others and their feelings, that could help you and your reputation."
We looked at each other for a minute. As soon I was walking off Jax stopped me, he looked down at the ground, "Hey! Before you go I just wanted to say I'm sorry about the other night, and I promise I had no idea that was gonna happen!"
"It's okay...goodnight Jax." I smiled and walked off. What was that? That was weird...
Levi called me as soon as I arrived home.
"How was tutoring?" I jumped on my bed.
"It was okay, Sonny says she's good at math but she didn't help me at all, she just looked up the answers on her phone."
"HA! I knew it! She's never really been good at math but I can't really say anything I'm not good myself but Sage—
I stopped myself, I forgot I wasn't friends with Sage anymore for a second.
"Oh Sage is good at math?" Levi sounded surprised.
Crap! "Um yeah! She's great!"
"I should ask her if she can tutor me since Sonny sucks!"
"Um can't you get a teacher to do it?" I was getting nervous.
"I already asked but they're schedule is full," Levi frowned.
"Oh well that's okay! I'm sure Sage will be happy to help! I gotta go! Bye!" I hung up as soon as possible. What was I gonna do? Sage has ruined my life enough. Why did this have to happen? It's just a matter of time before my life turns to crap again.
Sage is so pretty and smart, will he choose Sage over me?
