I was walking to school when Jax ran up behind me, "hey where were you yesterday? I came by your house and you weren't there."
"Why would you come by my house?"
"Because I had another idea on how to get them to want us! Duh!"
"Well I don't know if we have to work hard on Levi anymore."
"Um why?"
"Well he took me to the park and cafe' the other day and we almost kissed!" I gave a big smile on my face and turned around to Look at Jax.
"Well what stopped you guys from kissing?" Jax looked at me while fixing his beanie.
"Well Sonny saw us there and put her little nose in our business."
He started laughing.
"What is funny about that?"
"Well i mean I can just imagine your faces haha!"
I shoved him aside and started running, "HEY WAIT UP!"—
Levi's POV: Yesterday was embarrassing, of course Sonny would ruin the whole thing, I don't know what I was thinking anyway. I walked Sage to school this morning, ivory wasn't home. She must be mad at me. I couldn't believe what happened yesterday, I felt so stupid after she left. I probably shouldn't overthink it.
"Where were you yesterday?" Sage smiled up at me, her hazel eyes gleaming up at me. Whenever the sun would hit them you could notice that they had more blue in them then green.
"Um well I was with Ivory!"  I looked back down at her, the smile on her face suddenly disappeared.
"Oh ok! Was it fun? What did you guys do?"
"We just walked around the park that's all." Why do I feel as though I'm regretting telling her this.
Sage and I have gotten closer since she's been tutoring me, she's not what I'm used to at all for a girl.
A couple of guys had approached us on the way to school calling me names like "Mr. Prep"  and she threatened them saying; "I will knock all your teeth out if you call him that again you butt-face now get out of our way!"
She was very unladylike which was not what I'm used to. But I liked it for a change. She was very outgoing and kinda a wild card, and the more I got to know her the more she was less so difficult to deal with. Sage was different and I liked that, I was always used to these quiet, proper rich girls who thought they were better than everybody else. We weren't in the same class which was a bummer but at least I had Ivory, Ivory was sort of a different girl too. She is more introverted and awkward but once you get to know her she has the best personality. I like the way her hair blows in the wind, like autumn leaves falling off the trees. No she might not have the best colored hair or the most outgoing personality but that's what made her special I guess. And that's what makes both of them so special, that's why I have feeling for the both of them, even though they're polar opposites.
Back to Ivory's POV:
When me and Jax got to school we saw Sage and Levi at the entrance, of course he would be hanging out with Sage again, right after yesterday. The whole entire class Levi seemed more quiet then usual. He played with his hair the whole time and stared out the window, what could he be thinking about? I wonder if he's thinking about me...Or Sage? If only I could read his mind. I couldn't stop looking at him, I didn't want to be second place this time, I've always been second place, especially next to Sage.
We all sat down at lunch but this time me and Jax sat beside each other, to not make it so awkward.
"I want a redo with you Jax," Levi held at his hand, expecting a hand shake.
"Uh yeah sure." Jax gave him a fist bump instead.
We all got along good, talking about whatever came to our minds but I couldn't help but feel weird, me and Sage were actually communicating. I also couldn't help but notice how Jax was acting, he was acting different, I don't know how to explain it, he was a little off, it seemed like and he and Sage haven't gotten any closer really. For the past month we had all been on good terms but you could still feel the tension between everyone, we were like friends but enemies at the same time.
Tomorrow was February and I wanted to make the night a little more memorable so I told Jax to walk home with Sage and I would walk home with Levi. Even though we all kinda lived in the same area.
Me and Levi were having a great time, it starting drizzling and the sound of the rain on the cement made it even more dreamy. Levi was walking ahead of me when I suddenly stopped grabbed his hand and stopped him,
"What is it Ivory?" He turned towards me and looked at me with a sweet smile.
"Just close your eyes and tilt your head towards the sky," I said. We both stood still, still holding hands, "isn't just so peaceful, it feels like the rain just kinda washes all your worries away for just a few moments. It's nice isn't it?"
Suddenly I could feel him looking at me, he put his hand on my chin and tilted my head towards him, " I think we should have a redo from the other day."  As soon as I opened my eyes he gave me a soft kiss on the lips, his lips felt so warm. I stood there for a second shocked, my first kiss ever. I couldn't believe it just happened. My first kiss with the guy who I wanted to kiss. The rain started getting heavier as he gave me another kiss, but this time it was longer.
I could've stayed there for hours, just kissing him in the rain, "We should probably get going before we get soaked." I started laughing, he started laughing with me, "Yeah that's probably a good idea, goodnight Ivory." He winked at me and ran to his house.
"Goodnight Levi." I stood there for a second.
