Chapter VII
Aiden
"Okay so the contractor said the building should be finished by next month. There are a few reports of rogues in the northeast side, about 15 kilometers between the Irish Snow pack and us. Alpha Burd called that in a little bit ago. It's 5:30 can I take a break."
Daniel, as always was rushing to complete the days work so he could talk to his mate. They were the perfect couple to say the least. They Skyped everyday for about two hours or so. Daniel couldn't wait to ask her to marry him and move here.
Even though Daniel was older than me, I was the Alpha. He gave me the position claiming I was better for the job; and so he then became my Beta. Daniel was also the main person that has been trying to convince me to go back to America.
Tara. Tara. Tara.
Her name ran through my mind all day everyday. It had been four months, one week, four days, nine hours, thirty-three minutes, and thirty-two seconds since I last saw my beautiful mate. My wolf and I were dying inside, at the fact she was so far away.
"Yeah just take the rest of the day off."
"Really? Thanks man love YA!" Daniel says running back towards the pack house.
Sighing I begin to walk to my favorite thinking spot, my mother's garden. She had started it a year or two before Daniel was born. When she was away with my father, the pack and I helped keep it healthy and beautiful.
I take a seat on one of the many stone benches that scattered the garden, and sighed. Four months, one week, four days, nine hours, thirty-seven minutes and forty-six seconds was way to long to be away from your mate. It ate away at your heart and caused a lot of stress, especially on an Alpha.
Keeping track of all the time that I have been away is just my way of coping. I still couldn't get over the way I spoke to her over the phone. She was just trying to make it better, it's not like she knew we were both virgins.
"What if she is pregnant? What if she is having our pups?" I wolfs asks excitingly, but also angrily.
My tightens for so many different reasons at that statement. The picture of her barefoot and pregnant in our own house, with a few more of our pups running around had me smiling and my heart pumping faster; but at the same time I was horrified. One reason being, gosh I might not even be a good dad. Second, being the fact that she might be. Who knows, the vampires might already know about her and be planning against her.
My wolf was howling with rage. We couldn't let our mate be hurt by them. I couldn't wait until this rogue problem was over and the construction over with.
Daniel
"Daniel!" Corie squeals from the other side of the screen.
I couldn't help but feel my heart swell at the sight of her- my mate. I missed her so much, and it kills me to be so far away from her.
"Hey baby girl." I say lovingly, "you look so beautiful."
I wanted to cry like a wimp at the moment as my heart clenched at the sight of her, happy and smiling, and now blushing.
"Thanks, you look quite handsome yourself." she says quietly.
"God I miss you so much." I say, my wolf whimpering inside.
"I miss you too." she says frowning slightly before smiling.
"Guess what!" She says happily.
"What's that baby girl."
