Tara

Why does Corie always have to open my window in the morning? I mean obviously I was sleeping, and to sleep I did not need, nor want, light.

Opening my eyes I look around and realize that I wasn't in my room. This room was more manly. Blue bed, dark brown frame, dresser, and night stands. Where am I, I thought to myself.

A shuffling sound comes from beside me and I look over to see a man laying on his stomach with an arm draped over my waist. How did I not notice his arm before?

Then the memories of last night came flooding back - Aiden. Gosh, I really never thought I would find someone like him. Wait what am I saying? This was just a one night stand. I'm sure he wants me out of here by the time he wakes up.

That last thought throws me in action as I realize he could wake up any minute. Slowly I lift up his arm just enough so I can scoot out from under it and onto the floor. I had to hold back a squeal as my feet touched the floor, because gosh it was freezing.

I lay Aiden's arm back down on the bed and quietly back away. He groans and scoots towards the place I used to lay. Aiden frowned before snuggling into my pillow and sighing happily.

"Tara." he sighed burying his face in my pillow.

"I love you so much. You're so beautiful. You're mine too." he mumbles over and over again into my pillow.

I pick up my dress and panties, putting them back on with a disgusted look on my face at the thought of re-wearing them. My heart swelled as Aiden mumbled the words again.

He had to be talking about a different Tara. Yeah that's it, that's also the only reason he slept with me, because I reminded him of her.

I tried shaking the sadness at the thought of him having anther girl, but who was I to judge? After all this was just a one night stand.

After getting fully dressed, I quietly sneak out of the door and down the wall. I quickly walked down the stairs and across the bar, seeing many passed out men and women. Fun nights I'm guessing.

Outside, on the car window, was a note from Corie. It read:

Hey Tara it's Corie, I'm staying over at Daniel's tonight. Hope you had fun! Love you!

I sighed and unlocked my car before climbing in. Thankfully the traffic wasn't very bad as I drove down the highway towards our apartment. For some reason I felt as if I had to turn around and dive back into bed with Aiden, but that would be really weird.

The moment I shut the door to the apartment my cell phone starts ringing.

"Hello."

"Tara where are you?"

"Oh it's nice to hear from you too, Corie. Yes I had a lovely night, and I don't mind at all that you ditched me." I say sarcastically.

I mean can you blame me? She is the one that left me in the first place.

"I'm sorry okay but seriously where are you?"

"At the apartment, why?" I say setting down my purse.

There was some shuffling on the other side before a new voice answered.

"Hey, Tara it's Daniel. Does Aiden know you left?"

"By now he probably does. I don't understand why he would need to know anyway."

"So you left without telling him? Tara my brother he- well you see he-"

"He what? Listen Daniel I'm sorry but I can assure you that we BOTH intended for that to be just a one night stand." I say harshly.

"You might mean that, but I know Aiden meant for it to be so much more."

"I call bull Sh!t."

"Really because maybe he didn't tell you but my brother was a virgin before last night and from what I hear so we're you."

Aiden a virgin? No he had to be lying. In the back ground I hear Corie telling Daniel to take it easy on me.

"Look Tara all I'm saying is that my brother wouldn't give that up to just anybody. I was really hoping his first time wouldn't be a one night stand either. Guess I can't do anything about it now though."

"I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't think... I didn't know."

A few years escaped my eyes and I sniffed trying to reign my emotions back in.

"Tara it's okay you didn't know. Just talk to him I'm sure he'll understand." Corie says softly.

"Corie I didn't know." I say sobbing a little.

I couldn't image how he felt right now. Pictures of Aiden sad and alone after last night ran through my head and made me feel even worse about myself.
I then heard Daniel and Corie mumbling on the other side of the phone.

"She is sensitive. She didn't know. She probably thought he was a player or something. Tara has a past that you don't know about okay." Corie says harshly to Daniel.

"I'm sorry baby, it's just my brother-"

"I don't care.", she interrupted him, "now go fix me breakfast or something."

Daniel groans and then I'm guessing he left. Corie sighs before turning her attention back to me.

"Tara, sweetie, it's alright okay? Everything will be fine I promise." she coos.

"No it won't Corie. He probably thinks I'm a whore now! Oh my gosh I'm a whore!"

"Tara shut up already! You are not a whore. That was your first time having sex so stop freaking out. A whore is a girl running around with her legs open screaming take me. Remember like that girl on Vine waddling around laughing creepily for Starbucks. You obviously don't do that so shut up."

I couldn't help but laugh through my tears at her version of a whore and soon she joins in until we are both in fits of laughter.

"What's going on?" I hear Daniel ask faintly.

"Nothing." Corie calls out still laughing and crying.

"Hey I'll text you Aiden's number Tara. So, just text him okay." she calls out to me.

"Okay." I say wearily.

With that we hang up and a few minutes later I receive a text from Corie with a number attached.
