The four left towards the presidential library-which turned out to be the Carter Center-and asked the staff for directions. One of the librarians, whose name was Esther, insisted on driving them personally.
Coach Hedge took the shot gun seat and Frank, Percy and Amoriel took the backseats. Amoriel raced and won with Percy for the window seat, so he and Frank was squished together.
Amoriel was glad that Percy invited her on the mini-quest. Being away from the ship gave her time to think and to calm down. She ignored Esther's ramblings of Atlanta facts, and instead she look out the window and think. She thought about her little brother who's slowly dying, and she thought about the fight she had with Jason and Leo, she got more angrier the more she thought about it. If Jason's sister was in trouble, Amoriel would stop at nothing to help Jason but apparently he wouldn't do the same for her and as if that wasn't enough the asshole was against saving Nico.
And what about Leo? She just couldn't believe him, he knows how important Nico is for her and he still have the nerve to say that he was untrustworthy. I mean didn't he ever had someone that he'd do anything to make sure they were happy and healthy? .... No, no he didn't. Now that she think about it Leo didn't had anyone he loved that much, .... except HER.
With that realization Amoriel's expression turned from mad to sad. She furrowed her eyebrows, Leo really didn't have anyone but her. Sure there was Jason and Piper but it wasn't the same. Amoriel shook her head and focused back onto the conversation happening in the car, that conversation had to wait until she got back to the Argo II. Esther was still listing her Atlanta facts so Percy decided to test her.
"Uh, so, Esther," he said, "here's a hard question for you. Salt water in Atlanta. What's the first thing that comes to mind?"
The old lady chuckled. "Oh, sugar. That's easy. Whale sharks!"
Amoriel met Frank's eyes and she could tell he was trying not to laugh too. "Whale sharks?" Frank asked. "You have those in Atlanta?"
"At the aquarium, sugar," Esther said. Amoriel raised her eyebrows in thought. "Very famous! Right downtown. Is that where you wanted to go?"
