CHAPTER FOUR

Nayeon's POV

"Ms. Im, are you listening?" Our prof asked. I'm spacing out again.

"Ahh yes sir." I said

"Then can you please solve this problem." He said and pointed to the board. I just sighed. That's just basic math. I solved it quickly and looked at my teacher with a staright face.

"Very well miss Im. I haven't thought that yet. It's our new lesson for today." Our prof said amused

"Well I guess it wasn't that hard." I said and sat back to my sit.

"Are you really okay? You wouldn't answer that problem easily." Jihyo asked. Am I really that bad at math before?

"It's just really simple Hyo." I said and shrugged her off. The class started and it was so boring. I just waited for the bell to ring so I can go to the library. I want to see if theres a book which will help me to go back.

"Okay class that's all for today. You can all take your lunch now." Our prof said which made me jump up my seat. I immediately fixed my things.

"Unnie, let's go." Jihyo told me.

"Oh no, you can go ahead. I have something to do in the library." I said

"Library isn't your thing." Jihyo said teasingly. "But okay, I'll go ahead now." She added before leaving. I also left the room and headed to the library. What a life. I still can't believe I'm back here. I just need to figure out how to get back in the present. It won't be that hard right? I was in deep thought when someone grabbed my wrist.

"You're about to hit the wall." Jeongyeon said. I looked infront of me and I was really gonna hit the wall. I retrieved my wrist from him and bowed down.

"Thank you. I-I need to go." I said and continued to walk towards the library. I could feel him still following me. I turned around to face him. "What do you want?"

"Let's talk." He said with a straight face.

"There's nothing to talk about." I said

"Look, this might sound weird but I'm sorry." I furrowed my eyebrows to what he said. Did he do something bad to me already? I mean other than the accident earlier.

"About earlier?" I asked

"No, about everything." He said and you could see the sincerity in his voice and eyes. "Everything I did or should I say I would do to you. This sounds so weird saying sorry yet you don't know me that well in this time but I'm sorry." I'm so shocked to what I'm hearing right now. Does that mean I'm not the only one who went back in time?

"Jeongyeon-"

"You don't have to say anything." He gave me a sad smile. He was about to go but I held his wrist to stop him.

"I think we should talk more." I said and pulled him towards the garden. Once we reached the garden, I turned to look at him and slapped him.

"What was that for?" He asked while holding his cheeks. That serves him right.

"For leaving me." I said. I'm angry at him for what he did. I don't even know how can I stand talking to him right now but I have to.

"Wait, so-"

"Yes, I'm not from this timeline and I don't know how I got here." I said cutting him off.

"That's kinda funny how we both got brought back here." Jeongyeon said and chuckled. I just look at him with a straight face. "Sorry." He said when he noticed my expression.

"What are we doing here though? I didn't think that tine travelling was a thing." I said crossing my arms.

"Didn't know you two would meet that soon." We looked at the person who spoke. It was a middle-aged woman. She looks so familiar.

"You look familiar." I said

"Of course I am." The woman smiled.

"You're that old lady from the parking lot at our office!" Jeongyeon said while pointing at the lady. I tried to remember if I saw this woman before and she is the old lady from the park.

"You're lady from the park?" I asked

"That's right." She chuckled.

"Why are we here? How did we went back in time?" I asked

"You asked for it right? Both of you did. You wanted to change things. I brought you two back here in 2002 where both of you started." She said with a creepy smile.

"That's impossible!" I exclaimed

"But you're here now." She just answered as if it's a normal thing.

"But how about the present?" Jeongyeon asked.

"It will be the same." She said

"How can we go back?" I asked and her facial expression changed. She became serious.

"It depends on the both of you. You could go back to the same old things or make your new future." She said.

"If we don't go back does that mean-"

"You won't see her again." She said referring to Yujin. I felt like all my blood went out of my body.

"How can we go back?" Jeongyeon asked.

"You have to complete your mission." The lady said

"What mission?" We both asked at the same time.

"That's for you to find out." The lady once again smiled creepily. "Anyways I'll be on my way. See around."

"You're a teacher here?" Jeongyeon asked and she just nodded before leaving. She stopped when she was a few steps away from us.

"Oh and by the way, you only have 200 days to complete your mission. Once the 200 days is over you can't go back. Time is ticking guys." She added before completely being out of our sight. I kneeled on the ground thinking our situation.

"Nayeon." Jeongyeon said worriedly and helped me stand up but I stayed on my place. I can achieve my dreams being a doctor but I will lose my daughter. Losing Yujin will never be a choice.

"Wether you like it or not we should finish that mission she's saying. I have to get back in the present." I have to go back to Yujin.

"I didn't say that I want to stay here and start again." He said. I scoffed at him.

"Yeah right, you might have a wonderful life right now. I'll be going now." I said and stood up, leaving him alone. I wiped the tears the rolled down my cheeks. 200 days it won't be that hard right? It's just gonna be a simple lame mission right?
