Jihyo's POV
We're here at the dance room that Mr. Park lend us to use for practice. I don't get it there's a lot more students out there but he chose us to perform in the festival. I already got loads of things to do, being the school council president isn't easy.
"What are you doing here?" Momo asked me
"You're going to practice for your dance in the festival right? I'm here to watch." I said while sipping on my juice. I'm not really going to dance I just want to watch them practice. I'll just sing in the festival nothing else.
"Why don't you go back to class or something?" Sana asked this time and laid down her head on my lap.
"Class is boring." I said. Well it's true though.
"Woah is that really you!? Jihyo noona saying class is boring!" Chaeyoung said as if I'm a very good student. I also want to have fun.
"Shut up. Why don't you start practicing?" I asked them
"We still don't know what to perform." Tzuyu said munching on his bread.
"Do you have any ideas?" Dahyun asked me. I shook my head in response. I noticed Nayeon unnie and Jeongyeon is quiet.
"Don't you have something to say?" I asked both of them.
"Who me?" Jeongyeon asked
"Both of you." I said and Nayeon pointed at herself like I'm talking to someone else. "It's just the nine of us here who do you think I'm talking to?"
"It can be Mina. She's also quiet." Nayeon unnie said
"Mina is always quiet." Sana said
"So any ideas?" Momo asked, Nayeon and Jeongyeon just shook their heads. Mina then played a song that made this people wild.
"Party people!!" Sana yelled and stood up from her position.
"That will help them think." Mina told me. They started to clap their hands like the choreo. I decided to stand up and dance with them.
Nayeon's POV
I smiled seeing how energetic and crackheads my friends are. We used to be like this before.
"Why don't you join them?" I was a bit startled when someone spoke. It was Jeongyeon.
"I just don't feel like it." I said
"You should always smile. I miss seeing your bunny teeth." He said
"How can I often smile when I'm worried if I can still go back." I said honestly. I hope Yujin is doing okay.
"I told you not to worry to much. I'll do everything I can so we can go back. You'll see Yujin again." Jeongyeon said
"How did you know about Yujin?" I furrowed my eyebrows asking him that.
"I'll explain to you sometime but first let's dance." He pulled me up and started dancing like crazy with the others. I just laughed at them and started dancing too.
"CHAINED UP! CHAINED UP!" We all sang in unison. They're crazy. We stopped for a second trying to catch our breath while the music is still playing.
"It's the first time in weeks since I saw unnie smile like that again." Mina said looking at me
"Same to hyung." Chaeyoung said
"School is just stressing." Jeongyeon told them
"School? You don't even study." Tzuyu said to Jeongyeon making us laugh. Pretty U started playing.
"Why don't you just dance to that song. It's perfect for the 8 of you." Jihyo said
"Make that 9. You're going to perform with us since you're already here." I said
"Nooo I'm too lazy to dance." She whined
"Then go back to classes if you don't want to." I said as she pouted at me.
"I also have to sing and do some duties in the festival so no." She said
"Suit yourself. So let's start learning the choreo." Momo said. We started to learn the dance and our formation. After a good 2 hours we decided to take a break.
"That was tiring." Sana said and clinged onto Tzuyu.
"Ahh I'm hungry!" Momo exclaimed.
"You're always hungry." Dahyun said and Momo just pouted. Jeongyeon handed me a bottle of water.
"Thanks." I said and drank it
"Who wants Ice Cream?" Jihyo asked
"Me!" They all said in unison.
"Then go buy one." She laughed crazy.
"Tsk you're no fun." Chaeyoung said
"Nayeon unnie go buy ice cream." Mina said handing me the money
"Why me?" I asked
"Cause you're the oldest." Jihyo said teasingly
"Shouldn't it be the youngest? Tzuyu you buy it." I said handing him the money Mina gave me.
"What? I can't hear anything." Tzuyu said. This little brat.
"Let's go. I'll come with you." Jeongyeon said. I just sighed.
"Fine. Let's go." I said and went ahead. I don't want to have that much conversation with Jeongyeon. I'm still avoiding him. We went out of the campus since we can so why not. We bought the ice cream in the convenience store near the school. We were on our way back when Jeongyeon called me.
"Nayeon!" I looked back at Jeongyeon and I was shocked when something flashed. He just took a picture of me.
"Yah delete that!" I said and ran after him.
"Only if you can catch me!" He laughed and kept on running. We reached the park and he stopped. I smacked his head for taking a picture of me.
"Delete that." I said and pouted
"Yeah later." He said and went to the little girl crying. Oh. "Hey little girl, why are you crying?"
"They won't play with me." The girl said and pointed at the kids playing.
"And why is that?" He asked
"They said I don't have a dad." The girl said wiping her tears.
"Don't mind them. Here eat this." I said and gave her the ice cream. "Don't cry okay?"
"Thank you unnie." She smiled at me. She went to the kids when one of them called her.
"Let's go back the ice cream is already melting." Jeongyeon said and we walked back to the campus. "You really like kids huh."
"She reminds me of Yujin." I said smiling remembering when Yujin was little.
"Don't worry you'll see her again." Jeongyeon said and we stayed quiet while walking. "Nayeon, can we go back?" Jeongyeon suddenly asked. I looked at him with confusion.
"Did you forget something in the store?" I asked
"No I mean. Like can we be atleast friends again? Stop avoiding me, please." He said and I was just looking at him. "Friends?" He lend his hand at me. I was thinking if I should take it or what.
"Friends." I said and shaked his hands. Can't believe after 15 years I'm holding hands again. I mean it wouldn't hurt if we become friends again right?
"Raced you to the dance room." He said and started running away. I can't help but laugh at him. I missed his teasings. I hope we could really go back to the way it is before.
