CHAPTER FIVE

Nayeon's POV

I was lazily poking my food since I don't have the appetite to eat. A week has already passed and I don't I have done any progress in that so called mission. I can't even sleep at night thinking what is the stupid mission. I'm also avoiding Jeongyeon. I just think it's better if we don't attach strings to the both of us anymore and besides he's not even bothering me.

"Are you going to eat your food or just stare at it?" Jihyo asked

"I'll eat it if you don't want it." Momo said. I pushed towards the food towards her and slumped my face on my arms in the table.

"Just eat it. I don't want to eat." I said lowly.

"You aren't eating that much food unnie. That's bad for your health." Sana said

"You can tell us anything if you have a problem." Mina said

"I'm fine." I said.

"Eat that." A person placed a bowl infront of me. I looked up and saw Jeongyeon. "Don't skip your meal." He said before walking towards their table. I looked what's the food he gave and it's tteokboki. Should I eat it?

"Woah what was that?" Sana asked and giggled. I just grabbed the chopsticks and ate the food. It's actually delicious.

"You suddenly have the appetite to eat." Momo said and rolled her eyes at me. I just ignored her. I looked at Jeongyeon's place and he was smiling while looking at me. I gave him a small smile in return. He didn't forget about my favorite food.

"I'll just remind the 4 of you that you have a practice later." Jihyo said while wiping her mouth with a tissue.

"Practice for what?" I asked.

"Cheerleading. We'll perform at the festival?" Jihyo said.

"I'm part of the cheerleading team!?" I asked. I know I didn't get in the cut.

"Seriously unnie? You're the cheer captain and you forgotten you're in the team." Mina said

"Wah daebak! I thought I didn't get in." I said and leaned back on my chair.

"That was before. Nancy got an injury that's why she can't be in the team. Her friends also backed out that's why we're in." Sana said and I just nodded.

"Is smc playing for basketball or archery?" Mina asked

"There's no archery this year so I guess they'll be in the basketball team." Jihyo said. I guess it's hard being the school's president

"I can't wait to see Tzuyu play basketball." Sana said. I just laughed at her.

"I guess she can't wait to see you cheering on him too." I teased her.

"Anyways changing the topic have you heard D.O. is back?" Sana asked

"D.O. who?" Momo asked

"Kyungsoo." Mina said

"Yeah. He's back meaning a lot more trouble." Jihyo face palmed.

"Isn't Kyungsoo courting you?" Sana asked. I remembered that he is courting me before.

"Yeah?" I said but it sounded like more of a question.

"When are you planning answering him?" Jihyo asked.

"Never." I honestly said. Kyungsoo isn't my type and I will be staying here for less than 200 days.

"Why? He looks like a good guy." Mina said.

"I just don't like the idea of having a relationship in the mean time." I said

"Hey pretty." We looked at the person who spoke and guess who. Kyungsoo.

"Uhm hi?" I said.

"Flowers for you." He said and gave me flowers. I just smiled awkwardly.

"Thanks. I guess." I mumbled the last words.

"Uhm we gotta go. We still have class. Let's go girls." I said and and grabbed my bag before leaving. I don't like talking to him. I don't know why but it feels so wrong talking to him.

Jeonyeon's POV

I sighed seeing that guy approach Nayeon. Kyungsoo again. Seeing him just makes my blood boil out of anger.

"Hey hyung, you okay?" Chaeyoung asked me.

"Ahh yeah. What is it again?" I asked since we're discussing about the upcoming game.

"As I said Lisa, Byul, and Seulgi will join our team. We'll have to compete with Kyungsoo's team a week before the real game with Saebom." Tzuyu explained

"Mr. Park said to be fair, we need to compete with Kyungsoo's team. If they win then they'll be the one playing against Saebom U." Dahyun added.

"Kyungsoo is a dirty player." Chaeyoung said. Gosh this is a headache. First we need to win against Kyungsoo's team, then the mission we need to find out. I need to bring Nayeon back to Yujin.

"Practice later at the court." I said and grabbed my bag. "Tell those three idiots to come."

"But hyung, the cheerleading squad will have a practice later." They said.

"They won't take that much space and besides we're just doing the basics later. I'll get Mr. Park's approval, you three can go to class now." I said And walked away. I went to my locker and get some of my things. I opened my locker and noticed a piece of paper in between my notebook. I got it and read the small piece of paper.

"A little gift for you. This might also be a clue for your mission."

That's what written in the letter. I opened my notebook and saw a pic of Nayeon and Yujin. I unconsciously smiled looking at the picture. Yujin is still a toddler in this picture and Nayeon's smile. Her smile is so precious and I'm so dumb to lose those smile. I might not be there for her when she's raising Yujin up but I'll try my best to make it up to them. I hid the picture in my pocket and walked towards Mr. Park's office. I knocked twice on the door before entering.

"Oh what brought you here Jeongyeon-ssi?" Mr. Park asked. I noticed that Nayeon is also here.

"I was just about to ask your permission if my team could practice later at the court." I said still standing by the door.

"Hmm sure, if that's okay with the cheerleading captain." He said and looked at Nayeon.

"Yeah sir, no problem with that." She said without even looking at me.

"Then you can share the court later. Why don't you sit I have something to discuss to the both of you." Mr. Park said. I slowly sat across Nayeon. "So as both of you know there will be an upcoming Festival right?" We both nodded. "You dance right? Both of you?"

"Not that much sir." I said

"I want your groups to have a performance in the festival." He said and leaned back to his sit.

"Sir?" Nayeon asked

"I want you and the jline have a performance also Jeongyeon and smc. I'll give you extra credits. So what do you say?" Mr. Park said

"What kind of performance sir?" I asked

"It depends on you. As long as you'll do a separate, the girls and boys, then you'll have a group, the 8 of you. You can use the new dance room anytime you want." Mr. Park explained. "That's all. You have less than a month to practice."

"But sir we also have to practice for the Cheerlead." Nayeon said

"And us to for basketball." I added.

"Then make time for it. I'm counting on the two of you." Mr. Park said and winked at us. "You're dismissed. You can either go back to class or start practicing." We bowed at him and left the room.

"He's crazy for this!" Nayeon said with her annoyed tone. I just chuckled at her.

"Nayeon-"

"We're already late for class let's go." She said and walked away. She's still ignoring me and I can't blame her for that. I just wish we can go back to atleast friends.
