CHAPTER NINETEEN

Jeongyeon's POV

For the whole day we were just doing some activities and games. Now I'm helping in preparing for our dinner. I was helping one of our teachers and Jihyo in grilling the meat.

"Ahh my eyes sting." Jihyo said while rubbing her eyes. "Doesn't yours hurt Jeong?"

"It doesn't." I said before flipping the meat.

"They said smoke only chases beautiful people that's why it's not after you." Jihyo said.

"Mmkay." I said plainly. I heard our teacher laughed at us.

"You two can handle here? I'll help them set up the tables." Our teacher said and we just nodded.

"Don't you dare help with the pancakes, I don't want salty pancakes." I told to Jihyo as she was about to walk towards the other people.

"Why can't you still move in from that. It was an accident." She said and getting the tongs from me.

"Hey yow wazzup." Lisa said as she went to us. "Can I help?"

"No!" Me and Jihyo said in unison. Which made us chuckle.

"Ouch that hurts me." Lisa said.

"Just go to your girlfriend or do something else." I said and rolled my eyes. Lisa grabbed some marshmallows and place it on a stick before putting it above the fire beside the meat.

"Let me just eat this then I'll go." Lisa said and I couldn't help but facepalm. I looked around and saw Nayeon helping with others in the setup for the mini concert later after our dinner. She looks so happy, her smile is so beautiful. I kinda feel guilty not trying to approach her this past week.

"Stop staring." Lisa whispered beside me. I just hit his head and gave him the plate of cooked meat.

"Just put this on the tables and shut up." I said and he just chuckled. I went back to cutting the meat for each table.

"So what happened to you and Nayeon unnie?" Jihyo suddenly asked

"It's nothing. We just had a misunderstanding." I said

"Jeong, if I were take your time to be with Nayeon unnie while the both of you are still here. Make her happy and make this the chance to fill up the days you weren't with her. She already waited for you for a long time." Jihyo said which made me look at her.

"How did you know?" I asked her

"Unnie told me everything about your situation." Jihyo said. "Talk to her. It's obvious you still like her. I can see it the way you look at her. Everyone can see that."

"Am I that obvious?" I asked with a chuckle. Jihyo just nodded. "I just don't want to hurt her again."

"You can't avoid that Jeongyeon. There's always a part in our life where we always hurt our love ones." Jihyo said which made me speechless. "What you can do is try to avoid doing that thing again to her and show her the love you have. Don't leave her again."

"I-" I wanted to speak but nothing came out. Jihyo just smiled at me.

"Think about it. But I hope you two would be good before we leave the camp." Jihyo said patting my back before getting the cooked meat and placed it to the tables. I also grabbed the rest of the meat and placed it on our table.

"Hey Nayeon." I quickly snapped my head to the direction where I heard a certain person calling Nayeon. "Can we talk?" Kyungsoo asked Nayeon. There were not that far away from me so I can here them.

"I'm busy." Nayeon said and was about to walk away from him when Kyungsoo held her wrist again.

"Looks I'm sorry for what I did. I was just upset to what I said. I promise it won't happen again." Kyungsoo said

"Let go of me before I kick your thing there. I'm not in the mood so stop bothering me." She said before gripping Kyungsoo's hands and removed it from hers. Nayeon walked towards me. I pretended I was busy then he sat beside me while crossing her arms.

"Okay students! Gather up here now." One of the teachers from Saebom high spoke in the remote. There were several circle tables which can accommodate 10 people. Like usual, the others went here to where Nayeon and I was at. I just sat beside Nayeon and distanced myself from her.

"Hey uhm can I sit with you?" The guy who sat beside Jihyo asked

"Oh sure!" Jihyo said happily and made him sit beside her. "Guys this is Kang Daniel from Saebom High. He's a part of the basketball team."

"Ooh cool, hi hyung! We're also a part of the basketball team." Chaeyoung said

"Jeong hyung is our team captain." Dahyun said pointing at me.

"Nice to meet you Daniel, hope we could play soon." I said and he just smiled at me.

"Sure, we can have a friendly game tomorrow." He said

"Sounds cool." Tzuyu said.

"You look very cute." Sana giggled. Tzuyu glared at her girlfriend. "No I mean look, he looks good with Hyo. Don't be so jelly Tzutzu."

"Whatever." Tzuyu said

"Sana's right though, you look cute together." Momo added. Jihyo blushed on their teases.

"You two really suit each other. But please give yourself both time if ever you'll end up." Nayeon said before winking at Jihyo. Are they a thing in the present? We continued to tease Daniel and Jihyo while eating. It was very fun.

"Yahhhh!" Momo's high note scream caught our attention. She was already standing while hugging Dahyun.

"Ahh!" Sana also screamed when she saw the reason for Momo's scream. I stood up to look at it It was just a bug. Dahyun flicked it away but suddenly landed at Nayeon's legs.

"Yahh!" She stood up trying to remove it from her legs but ended up hugging me. I leaned down while she clings on my neck to remove it. Nayeon was hiding on my neck while hugging me tightly.

"It's gone already." I whispered. She was about to let go when the lights suddenly turned off making the students scream, mostly girls. Suddenly people wearing scary costumes came running here. Nayeon once again hugged me tighter. Mina was laughing silently while Chaeyoung hugs her, scaredy cat. Jihyo and Daniel was just looking at the people getting scared.

"Please, go away." Nayeon sniffled. Is she crying. I hugged her by the waist while stroking her hair.

"Shhh it's fine. It's going to be fine." I whispered at her. The lights turned on and some of the teachers and students were laughing.

"Okay students calm down now." One of our teachers said. Someone tapped me on my back. I turned around with Nayeon still in my arms. I was a bit shock to see a scary face. It was Seulgi wearing a scary mask. I hit his head.

"Go away." I mouthed while glaring at him. He just chuckled before walking away.

"Nayeon unnie is such a scaredy cat." Momo teased. Nayeon slowly went out of the hug and glared at Momo while wiping her tears.

"Says the one who screams at a bug." Nayeon fired back before sitting down on her seat.

"Atleast we didn't cry." Sana said. Nayeon just rolled her eyes and finished her food.

"Students, you can go at the center once you finished eating. We'll have a mini concert for all of you." The head teacher said

"I'll go ahead then." Daniel smiled before standing up.

"I'll come with you. I'll reserve us seats." Jihyo said and left with Daniel. I just casually sip my drink while waiting for the others to finish eating.
