Chapter 5

"Noooo!" Kiana said
"The Bronya wins again..." Bronya said as she placed her controller down
"How is it possible? I have been playing this game dozens of times. I've practiced all the moves!" Kiana said as she groaned softly
"The Bronya can't be defeated no matter how hard you try..." Bronya said and stood up
"Hm?" Kiana asked
"We must get back to studying now" Bronya said as she went to grab her paper
"Another round!" Kiana said as she held the controller
"Subject Kiana is only wasting precious time. Major Himeko will have to lecture you again" Bronya said
"Ugh...you're right. If I don't do this then Himeko will get mad...and she is scary" Kiana said as she trembled
"Okay! Focus time!" Kiana said as she slapped her cheeks and grabbed the paper. A few minutes passed and Mei stepped out of her room before heading to the living room
"Hey Bronya and Kiana. How are you two doing?" Mei asked
"The Bronya is doing fine but Kiana...not so good" Bronya said
"Meiii! Save me!" Kiana whined as she stood up from her seat and ran towards her before wrapping her arms around her
"Ah! K-kiana!" Mei exclaimed as she blushed
"Haah...Idiotka gets distracted easily" Bronya said
"Mei, I'm getting tired of studying" Kiana whined and cuddled against Mei's chest. Mei couldn't help but blush and looked away
"D-don't cling onto me. Y-you know you have to keep studying" Mei said as she patted her head softly
"But I'm getting hungry" Kiana said
"Kiana...you're always hungry" Mei said
"Please?" Kiana asked as she pouted
"Haah...would you like me to help you?" Mei asked
"As long as you give me something to eat then yes" Kiana said
"You're unbelievable. Okay let's just grab a small snack" Mei said as she stroked her hair softly. Kiana smiled brightly as she clinged onto Mei
Mei-senpai is a lifesaver!
"Bronya, would you like something to eat?" Mei asked
"Mm...the Bronya could eat something for a bit" Bronya said as she stood up and followed the girls
"I'm just gonna eat my pocky sticks" Kiana said as she grabbed a box from the cabinet. Suddenly the door opened as the other girls arrived
"Mmgh...I'm so tired" Seele said and stepped inside
"Lili! Why did you have to fall asleep halfway through our training?" Rozaliya as she stepped inside the dorms with her sister on her back peacefully asleep. Lili slept soundly and cuddled against Rozaliya
"Ugh..I have to take her upstairs to her room" Rozaliya said as she walked away
"Do you need help?" Mei asked
"No thanks. Heh I'm good. This isn't the first time..." Rozaliya said as she walked away
"The training routine wasn't intense right?" Bronya asked worriedly as she walked up to her
"Heh I'm fine" Seele said and Bronya looked at her cheek seeing a cut
"The Bronya told you to be careful" Bronya said
"Br-bronya onee-chan...I'm fine. Really I am. Just didn't dodge in time..." Seele said as she smiled slightly nervous
"Do you have anymore?" Bronya asked as she looked at her body
"U-uh well...n-no" Seele said
"Liar liar pants on fire" Rozaliya sang upstairs
"Seele..." Bronya said
"L-look it's not all th-that bad okay? I-I uh...I kinda went on a mission alone" Seele said as she fidgeted with her fingers
"Alone?" Bronya asked as she looked slightly surprised
"I-it was an easy one th-though but uh...I just didn't dodge the attacks on time. I still have a lot to learn..." Seele said as she revealed her arm. Bronya trembled for a moment before holding her hand
"Eh?" Seele asked as she blushed a little
"Mei, The Bronya has to take care of Seele's wounds" Bronya said as she walked away while holding Seele's hand. Seele couldn't help but blush a little as she felt her heart starting to beat slightly fast
Th-this feeling...again...
Bronya got to Seele's room then opened it for her
"Please sit down on the bed while the Bronya gets the first aid kit" Bronya said before she left to grab the first aid kit to treat her wounds
"Haah...she is so caring" Seele said as she smiled
"Enough daydreaming" Veliona said as she poked her head. Seele sighed and turned to see the shadow
"What happened back there? I thought you said we were a team" Seele said
"You got hurt. So what? It's not like I was going to let you die since I need my host alive" Veliona said as she played with her hair
"Just...next time be more careful. I still need to get stronger for Bronya" Seele said
"Hmph...this is the reason why I couldn't focus" Veliona mumbled
"Hm?" Seele asked
"Nothing" Veliona said before vanishing. Seele jumped as she heard the door open
"The Bronya is back" Bronya said as she closed the door from behind and walked up to her. She sat down beside her then started to take out a few things from the kit
"Show The Bronya your wounds..." Bronya said and Seele lifted her short sleeve shirt to reveal another cut
"Why didn't you clean it?" Bronya asked as she started to clean her wound
"U-uh...I didn't want them to worry" Seele said
"Because you wanted your precious Bronya nee-chan to clean it for you" Veliona giggled
"Out of my head" Seele mumbled
"The Bronya doesn't like seeing Seele hurt. It...worries me" Bronya said and Seele looked at her
"S-sorry for worrying you but...I really want to get strong like you, Bronya. I want to be able to fight off those beasts just like you and be by your side during missions. I've always looked up to you. Bronya onee-chan is really strong and brave. That's why...I'll get stronger so that you won't have to worry about me no more" Seele said
"The Bronya...understands but...next time you have to be careful. The Bronya will have a word with principal able this..." Bronya said
"There is no need to talk to her. I'm really fine and okay. These wounds aren't bad at all..." Seele said and winced in pain as she held her stomach which Bronya noticed
"Seele...do you have anymore wounds?" Bronya asked
"Wh-what? No. I'm all good. Just a few cuts and that's it" Seele said as she smiled. Bronya stared at her with a straight face for a moment before climbing onto her lap
"H-huh? Bronya?" Seele asked and Bronya pinned her down on the bed
"W-wait Bronya!" Seele said as she tried to to stop her but Bronya lifted up her shirt. Her eyes widened as she saw a bandage all over her waist
"Seele...what happened here?" Bronya asked
"I-I uh...it's not wh-what I looks like" Seele said as she pulled her shirt down
"Seele...The Bronya told you to be careful" Bronya said and wrapped her arms around her before laying down next to her
"I-I was worried that you would get mad for this..." Seele said
"The Bronya...isn't mad. Just scared and worried because...The Bronya doesn't want to lose you. The Bronya wants to stay by your side...and protect you" Bronya said before she burried her face against her chest
"N-next time...I promise to be more careful" Seele said and held her closely
"The Bronya will go with you on missions" Bronya said and held her hand before intertwining their fingers together. Seele blushed deeply as her heart started beating fast
"Seele..." Bronya said as she looked at her. Seele turned to look at her and couldn't help but blush deeply
Her face is too close!
"Y-yes Bronya?" Seele asked
"Promise me that you won't do such thing ever again..." Bronya said. Seele blushed hard as she trembled a bit
"I-I understand Bronya. Don't worry I won't do such thing like that again. I'll be more careful next time..." Seele said
"And try not to go alone...it's dangerous" Bronya said as she held onto her slightly tight. Seele blushed as she rested on the bed next to her
"Okay...I promise" Seele said as she smiled softly and blushed deeply

"Eh? You won't be making dinner?" Kiana asked
"Major Himeko said that she'll prepare dinner" Mei said
"Awww....but I really love your cooking, Mei-senpai. Can't you at least make dessert?" Kiana asked
"No. You can't be eating sweets everyday" Mei said. Kiana pouted and placed the pocky between her lips
"That sucks" Kiana groaned and Mei looked at her before cupping her cheek
"But remember that you still have time to study and earn your reward" Mei said as she smiled then took a bite of the other end of the pocky. Kiana's eyes widened for a moment as she blushed deeply
"Eh?" Kiana asked
"We need to go back. You still haven't finished your work right?" Mei said
"Mm...y-yeah" Kiana said and finished eating the pocky
H-her face was close...wait? Was she trying to play that game with me?
"Kiana, come here" Mei said as she sat on the couch
"Hey Mei! Let's play a game" Kiana said as she sat down next to her
"Hm? Game? But didn't you already play with Bronya?" Mei asked
"Pocky game" Kiana said
"P-pocky?" Mei asked as her cheeks burned up
Isn't that game...about...two people e-eating the same pocky stick?
"I wanna play" Kiana said as she took a pocky and placed it between her lips. She turned to face Mei while blushing. Mei blushed as well and leaned in slowly before taking the other side of the pocky between her lips. The two flustered girls closed their eyes before taking little bites. The pocky stick got smaller with each bite until they felt their warmth. Mei opened her eyes slightly and trembled
Wh-what if we end up kissing? Is she doing this on purpose?
"Good afternoon girls" Theresa said as she opened the door which startled both Mei and Kiana. They both pulled away blushing furiously
"Hm? Is something wrong?' Theresa asked
"A-aunt Teri! You're back" Kiana said as she smiled brightly. Mei only trembled as she touched her lips
We were this close...
"Hey principal" Mei said as she tried to calm herself
"How have you two been doing?" Theresa asked
"I'm good" Mei said
"Oh I'm doing amazing!" Kiana said as she smiled
"Hm? Where did Bronya go? Is she with the other girls?" Theresa asked
"Yeah she is with Seele right now. Anyways I have been studying really hard lately and done a lot of work" Kiana said
"Show me" Theresa said as she held out her hand
"Eh?" Kiana asked as she tried her head
"If you really did do work then I need proof" Theresa said as she smiled. Kiana trembled for a moment and jumped onto Mei's arms
"K-kiana!" Mei exclaimed as she was caught off guard and held Kiana
"Okay so...Bronya did help but uh...I just kinda didn't pay attention" Kiana said as she smiled nervously
Protect me Mei!
"Haaah...why am I not surprised? Come on. I am going to lecture you and teach you" Theresa said
"Ah! No! I-I'll do it quick" Kiana said and hugged Mei
"K-kiana not so tight please..." Mei said as she trembled a little
"Sorry Mei" Kiana said as she loosened her grip a bit and jumped as Theresa grabbed her shoulder
"Let's go" Theresa said before she dragged her away
"W-wait! Aunt Teri! Aaah! Mei! Save me please!" Kiana whined
"Sorry Kiana. Maybe next time" Mei said as she waved goodbye while smiling softly. After they left, Mei looked down seeing the box of pocket sticks and soon picked on up before eating it
Maybe...we should buy more of these...so we can play more often
"I wonder if Kiana did it on purpose...she always teases me...which makes me fall for her even more than before" Mei said as she trembled and touched her lips
Her lips...looked soft up close...
