Swinging his legs back and forth carelessly yet calmly, Edric glanced out the window, watching tree after tree pass by while Amity sat beside him reading with Emira aimlessly scrolling through her phone beside Amity.

"Is it just me or has the bus been driving without stop lately?" Edric pondered while pointing out the window.

Amity shrugged.

"Dunno, maybe... How long has it been since we left the bus stop anyway?" She asked.

Emira checked.

"Three hours." She said.

"Three hours!?" Edric shot up.

"Wow... Mom and dad sure picked a very far camp for us to attend for a whole week. Better be worth it though, they just got a whole week for themselves in the house." Amity whistled in awe.

"I wanna play on my laptop soon." Edric sighed before deciding to grab it out of his bag instead.

"How long until we're there??" He asked while turning the device on.

"Two hours." Emira said after checking google maps.

Edric smiled.

"You're really enjoying yourself with that survival game." Amity chuckled as she flipped over the next page.

"Well, this one's a classic so I enjoy it." Edric said before typing down his password.

"Beat the dragon yet though??" Amity asked.

"Twice last night when you went back to your room." Edric shrugged.

"How about the wither?" Amity snickered.

Edric perked up.

"Wither?" He chirped in curiosity.

"Yeah, you make it using four soul sands and three wither skulls." Amity chuckled.

"Ohh... Teach me..." Edric mumbled under his breath.

Amity grinned.

"You owe me one for this then." She cooed.

Edric felt a tang of hesitance now.

"Nevermind, I'll figure this out myself." He scoffed.

Amity laughed.

"I'm just messing with you, I'll help." She said.

...

Finally, they arrived.

Hopping out of the bus, they were greeted by the fresh air before the camp counselors showed up to greet them.

The three greeted back smiling.

With the twins quickly getting preoccupied with talking to the adults, it left Amity to glance around and take in everything around her.

But, it wasn't long before the adults left and gave them some time to look around them.

The trees were nice and warm to look at.

Smiling, she reached inside her bag to grab her book only to feel concerned when it wasn't there.

Opening her bag completely, it wasn't there.

'What?? Did I seriously leave it in the bus??' she wondered before hearing a faint noise.

"Hoot."

Turning to look, there was an owl, carrying a sack.

And in the sack, she caught a glimpse of her book.

She gasped, immediately making the owl hop away in a hurry.

"Hey!!" She yelled, running after it.

The twins perked up by her sudden dash.

"Amity!?" Emira yelled as she hurried for Amity who had already passed a few bushes and was running into the woods.

The twins didn't waste another second standing and hurried for their young sibling.

"Stop hopping away and give me my book right now!! It cost thousands of dollars because it has the author's signature y'now!" Amity yelled while running through the woods before gasping when she saw the old raggedy run-down house.

She stared at it for a split second before seeing the owl hop inside it, she didn't hesitate and ran after it only to be blinded by light for a split second before falling on her stomach.
