Jeong-wu was on cloud nine after that day in the garden. He had done at least four paintings from his sketches, but couldn't yet decide which one was worthy of being presented.
He was with the other artists painting theatre sets, hoping to catch a glimpse of the charmingly shy prince.
"These are looking great, everyone. Let's wrap it up for today. You can do more of the details tomorrow if you want," the theatre professor said.
He packed up his paints and cleaned his brushes before heading back towards the art room. But on his way, he heard a solo cellist practicing. The song was so lovely, he went to go find the source.
He found the musician in an empty room, and just stayed by the door to listen to the rest of the song. He was surprised to see none other than Minato come around the corner of the short hallway.
"Oh, hello Prince Minato."
"Oh, it's you." He hardly met his eye, looking distressed.
His brow furrowed. "Wait, what's wrong?"
"Nothing," he said dismissively.
Feeling like he was trying to avoid him, Jeong-wu asked, "Have I done something to offend you?"
He stopped, holding onto his bookbag like a lifeline. "I don't know what everyone wants of me, but my crown is not a prize to be hunted or won," he stated indignantly. "I am so much more than royal."
Wanting to help him, he took a small step closer. "Show me," he requested softly, his eyes filled with compassion and genuine interest.
Minato was silent, and looked to be fighting back tears.
"My Prince, I don't know what happened, but I know that you deserve happiness and love and goodness and loyalty. Whoever hurt you isn't worth your breath."
Looking at him out of the corner of his eye, he finally said, "Is it true that you like me?"
He turned instantly red. "I... would be lying if I said no."
He sighed shakily. "Then I'll give you one chance. You claim to like me? Then show me."
Unsure of what he meant, Jeong-wu nodded. "I will, as much as you'll let me."
