Not everything is Planned

Chapter 6

I woke up around 6:30 a.m. I looked over at Henry and I saw Henry was still sleeping, so I tried to get out of bed as silent as I could without waking him up. I walked downstairs to get some coffee and checked my phone. I saw that I had a text.

Emily
Hey Jen. Hows everything at Reids? Just wanted to check in and see how you're doing.

I red that and got a little pissed off because she told Spencer about everything.

Me
What the hell Emily, how could you tell Spencer everything. I was going to tell him at some point.

Emily
JJ, I'm sorry. I was checking to see how you were doing, it just came out.

Me
I'll talk to you later Emily.

I then hear small footprints running down the stairs. It was Henry.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Henry yelled running to me.

"Shh baby. Uncle Spence is still sleeping." I say picking him up. "Are you hungry?" Henry shook his head up and down as yes.

I started making some eggs from Henry and me. He was sitting on the counter as I was cooking the eggs. Then I hear Spencer walking down the stairs.

"Morning." I say hoping he forgot everything about last night.

"Good morning!" Spencer said picking up Henry. "After breakfast could we.. you know.. talk?"

I didnt want to talk about Will or what happened last night, so I just gave Henry and Spencer the eggs and sat st the table eating.

After we all got done eating Hnery and I started to walk off so I could get him ready for the day.

"JJ, please!" Spencer begged so we could talk.

I stopped and went to talk to Henry. "Henry baby? Can you go get dressed? Mommy needs to talk to uncle spencer for a second." Henry went upstairs without a problem.

"What? What do you want to talk about? Wanna talk about how Will cheated on me for half of our marriage? Or wanna talk about how the fact that you told me that you loved me!?" I snapped as I turned around to face him.

"Both actually.." he said very calmly. Kinda weirded me out.. "JJ, I'm sorry about Will and that just came out."

"Spence.. I cant do this!" I say turning around.

"Why the hell not JJ! Why cant you just talk to me and tell me how you feel!" Soencer snapped.

"Because!" I stopped, thinking. "Because I'm not in love with you! I'm in love with Emily!" I stop realizing what I just said.

I had tears running down my face and Spencer was in shock. I mean, I would be too because I wasnt expecting to say that to him, I didnt even know I was in love with Emily.

"W-what?" Spencer stuttered. Struggling to get the words out.

"I am in love with Emily.." I say slower.

I knew I had to get out of Spencer's house for a couple hours, so I took Henry and we went to my car. I had no clue where we were going, we were just driving around town.

"Mommy, where are we going?" Henry asked me.

"I'm not sure baby.." I answered honestly

We drive around for a few hours and ended up at a pond with a few ducks. Henry was happy to see ducks, and I was just sitting on the bench wondering what the hell just happened. I dont know what to now. Suddenly my phone started vibrating.

Spence
JJ, please come back. We can talk about this.

I read the text, and I knew he was right. I had no clue what I was going to say, but I knew I had to say something.

"Henry! Come on time to go back to uncle Spencer's." I yelled standing up from the bench.

Henry came running to me and I picked him up. When we got to the car I buckled him into his car seat and we started driving to Spencer's house again.

When we got to his house there was a new car there, it kinda looked like Emily's, but I knew it couldnt of been because she was working a case. I walked in and I was right, Emily was standing in the middle of Spencer's house.
