Tenten's phone lit up followed by the tune of Lisa's Gurenge once again. The device slid further down the table it rested on as it vibrated with fervour. The annoyed woman did not need to check the caller ID to know who it was that disturbed her with incessant calls.

Neji never relented from loading her with a barrage of phone calls and messages, all of which Tenten duly ignored.

"If I hear that song again, I'm throwing your phone into the Tobirama river." Anko threatened. She was half serious, half joking with her threat but it seemed that the phone didn't want to risk it's chances because it didn't ring again.

Tenten was lounging on Anko's couch because it was a free day for her. There was no conference, no signing, no interviews or shooting for her today. Unfortunately, that meant that Neji was free too because of his unceasing calls.

Why was he calling? What did he have to say? He betrayed Tenten by cheating on her with a fiance that she didn't even know he had. Tenten squeezed Anko's purple body pillow in a suffocating hug. If it could move, the pillow would probably bite her arm for choking it but unfortunately it was non living.

The more Tenten thought about it, the angrier she became. He dared to accuse her of cheating on him when he was doing the deed right under her nose! The nerve! Tenten's anger dissipated into something more of sadness and disappointment at that thought. Neji was a hypocrite and a liar. Cheater. Stupid handsome bastard!

"So are you going to reply him?" Anko's question snapped Tenten out of her reverie. The younger balked as if Anko just asked her to kiss a cockroach and replied with an expected,

"Hell no! Why should I reply him?! I'm done with his cheating ass."

"What if he didn't cheat on you on purpose?" The look Anko got from Tenten would send her to hades if they were in a supernatural alternative universe. She just chuckled it off though and rephrased her sentence. "Let me rephrase that. What if he had a reason or an excuse for doing what he did?"

"His crime is inexcusable Anko." Tenten replied with finality in her voice but Anko was not having it.

"You had a reason for going out with Gaara, didn't you?" Anko knew about the whole fiasco with Gaara because Tenten never really kept a secret from her.

"Yeah, I was a tour guide and it was kind of a date but what does that have to do with this?! Anko, he knocked her up!" Tenten shot back. The body pillow was already warm from the friction and her body heat.

The older woman shrugged at Tenten's words. "I don't have anything to say to that. I haven't know Neji for as long as you but in my few years of knowing him, I'm sure that he really has something to say about this whole cheating fiasco. I'm not saying you should get together with him again, I'm just saying that you should give him a chance to explain himself."

Tenten's grip on the pillow relaxed as she took in Anko's words. She hated this feeling. She hated how insecure she felt right now. "What if," her voice was small in a way she disliked but couldn't help. "What if he actually cheated on me?"

"Then I'd pass a glass rod up his urethra and break it." Anko replied without missing a heart beat. The mental image was disturbing but Tenten laughed nevertheless. She knew that Anko was really serious about what she said but the woman's words soothed her.

"Thank you, Anko-san." Tenten whispered gratefully.

"Anytime, gaki. Now answer the guy already! He's really desperate." Anko passed Tenten's phone (which she had taken during her speech) to the owner. The brunette's brow raised at the string of messages Neji spammed her phone with. They ranged from one word texts to a whole essay to just repetitions of her name. Wow, Neji really was not himself.
