The birds were chirping,
the sun was bright.
In the dream that I was daydreaming,
spring was in sight.┈┈┈┈․° ༻❉༺°․┈┈┈┈
Though spring sojourns annually,
the wait for this one seemed like it was once in a century.Cause once the day of the spring equinox arrives,
it would mark the start to the end of my misery.
It would be the day my soul revives
and foregone would be the haps of my reverie.┈┈┈┈․° ༻❉༺°․┈┈┈┈
A distant thud,
my heart thumped.
Someone's knocking,
must be the jaunty spring days,
but then all my expectations were numbed. The day I was supposed to welcome spring,
I was suddenly greeted by autumn.┈┈┈┈․° ༻❉༺°․┈┈┈┈
The birds were peeping in an undertone.
The sun wasn't that bright anymore. And when I went to take a look at them outdoor,
off to the nests the birds had already gone.
The yellow blot was blotched with flaming hues
and it concealed itself
just behind the horizon.┈┈┈┈․° ༻❉༺°․┈┈┈┈
The autumn mist met my misty eyes,
dried foliage shed like confetti of tears at someone's demise.
My heart shattered under the crunching autumn leaves,
the chilly rustling winds drifted away my muffled cries.┈┈┈┈․° ༻❉༺°․┈┈┈┈
Did someone turn back time?
Or did we change a worldline?
Cause all my plans went south like the birds in fall,
it was my time to rise and shine,
not to feel more small.
And it was my time to blossom
and take the highest swing,
not to write about the melancholies of a
fall in spring.༺═─────•༻❉᯽❉༺•─────═༻
