THERE'S NO STOPPING THE SMILE on Darcie's face. Bruno had a lovely sunrise walk that morning, which had followed with breakfast with the rest of the Combs family. Now, Darcie's riding happily to school with Rochelle as for once it wasn't raining. Rochelle is another reason why Darcie's smiling, simply for the fact that everything seems to be returning to normal since Sam's due back at school today.

It's rare for the two Combs sisters to ride to school together, but Darcie wasn't going to question it too much. The small school isn't far from their home as the two already spot it, noticing the buzz of students lingering outside. Darcie spots her friends as she offers them a wave upon entering the grounds, surprised that they were earlier then she was. The three teenage boys start walking towards the storage space for bikes to meet Darcie.

"Darc, you gonna speak to Callum today?" Rochelle gently asks, climbing off her bike.

Darcie follows, busying herself with the motion of locking her bike so that Rochelle can't catch her blush. "Maybe?" It's not a lie, but it stings. "I want to, but he makes me nervous."

"A good kind of nervous, right?"

"Yeah," Darcie puts the lock in place, securing her baby blue bike. "I'll try talking to him today about prom, I think."

"Great," Rochelle smiles. "Get the details, then we can go shopping this weekend."

"Me... with you and Leah? Still?" Darcie questions, stunned. She had been invited before, but that was when Leah wasn't going. Usually, it was always a duo act with Darcie simply being just the little sister. The two were close, but when Leah was around, Darcie tended to be pushed aside, though she didn't mind.

"Yeah, why not?"

"What's up, Darcie?" Quil is the first to approach the two Combs. "Rochelle."

"Hey, guys," Rochelle greets them.

"Hey," Darcie faces her friends. "I can't believe the three of you beat me."

"That's cause we drove, Darc," Jacob grins cheekily.

"I'd rather ride my bike and save the world," Darcie tells him. "Then have faster transport."

Embry scoffs. "You won't turn down a ride if Jake offers it."

"I—" Darcie's cheeks flame, tongue suddenly becoming swollen as Embry laughs. "I try to cut back, okay? Trying is always better than not doing anything."

Rochelle eyes Embry curiously. "Your friendship confuses me."

"Why?" Jacob exchanges a look with Quil.

"No reason," Rochelle states. "I'm gonna go find Leah, Darcie. I'll see you later?"

Darcie says goodbye to Rochelle, who then leaves as all three boys attention fall form the elder Combs to the youngest with questioning looks. Sighing, she shakes her head, not wanting to fuse the Sam and Leah gossip any further than she already had.
