DARCIE CAN'T QUITE BELIEVE IT, but dating Callum is a lot easier than she had thought. Being with him is like watching the whales — relaxing and exciting. Come to their third date, Darcie is certain to call herself a pro as the two walk hand-in-hand down the streets of Port Angeles.

"I liked it," Darcie claims, smiling at the thought of the adorable animation film they had just seen. "Other than dogs or whales, giraffes are my favourite animals."

"I feel like every animal is your favourite," Callum confesses, then shyly adds: "I'm glad you liked it, I was worried you wouldn't like the film I picked."

Callum had taken Darcie out on a surprise date that had been at the movies with the couple watching Madagascar. "You chose right," Darcie reminds him. "I would have been happy with anything, though. Did you like it?"

"Yeah," he laughs, gently swinging her hand. "It was cute, I guess."

Darcie's phone then chimes as she reaches into her coat pocket, curious as to who it is. It's a text message from Jacob, inviting Darcie to a last-minute party. Another text appears with Jacob adding that Callum's invited, too.

"Hey," Darcie shows him the messages. "You fancy heading to a party?"

"I think Joey is going," Callum says, holding up his phone as if he's just got a message too. "Sure, why not? Just don't get grounded again as I'll miss not being able to see you."

Darcie blushes, but she's giggling as the two head back to where Callum's car is parked. There's silence inside the car as Callum plays an old band that Darcie doesn't recognise, but she finds herself liking it.

They arrive, where Darcie is torn with both her friends and Callum's friends waving them over. She waves back to her friends before gesturing that she'll be right over and then she heads straight to Callum's friends. If her friends are betrayed, they don't show it.

"Hey guys," Callum greets Joey and another guy that Darcie can't recall. "You remember Darcie?"

Joey smirks. "The girl you won't stop talking about?"

"Yeah, we do, man," the other guy adds, laughing as Callum blushes, then his eyes slide to Darcie. "I'm Ben."

"Nice to meet you," Darcie smiles sweetly.

"Joey," the boy introduces himself. "So are you two official now?"

Darcie nervously avoids their gaze, unknowing the answer. Callum, however, speaks up: "Yeah, I think so?"

Her eyes collide with his, where the two exchange a small smile. "Yeah."

Callum's smile grows bigger as he squeezes her hand. "Great."

His friends snigger at him, but Darcie tells them she'll be back before she heads over to the usual trio. They're already drinking as Darcie spies the cans of beers and Jacob offers her a drink, to which she happily takes.
