Chapter 33

"Wait us there." I told Rhea over the phone.

"Where ka na ba? We're here kanina pa." She said on the other line.

"Malapit na kami. Wait us there, okay?"

"Okay, thank you." She uttered before she hang up the call.

I put my phone inside my bag. I searched for the key and the bus ticket.

"You okay, baby?" Rhys asked. Hindi siya nakatingin sakin dahil nasa daan ang mga mata niya.

"No, I am not." Sino ba naman magiging okay pag bitin— este 'pag nangangailangan ng tulong ang istorbo mong kaibigan.

Rhea and Ashper planned to escape Rhea's parents. I don't know if I am doing the right thing or not. If this turns out to be good or the other way around. Half of me telling me that I'm wrong for tolerating Rhea's decision but also half of me telling me that I'm doing right because I just want to help  Rhea. Ashper and his family received a death threats. Gusto nila layuan ni Ashper si Rhea kasi kung hindi madadamay ang pamilya niya. On the other hand, Tito and Tita blackmailed Rhea. Pahihirapan nila si Ash pati ang pamilya nito kapag nakipagkita si Rhea kay Ashper.

I contact my hired bodyguards. I told them to protect Ashper's parent until they reach the location I instructed to them. Pinadala ko sila sa mga private property namin. Dad loves to buy land from different places and it was all named to me. We keep our private property, privately. No one knows. Dahil halos nasa politika ang pamilya namin, gusto ni Dad na kapag may balak man na tumugis samin may pagtataguan kaming ligtas. That's why it was the safest place for Rhea and Ashper to hide for. And to Ashper's parents as well.

Rhys stopped the car when we reached our destination. I saw Rhea sitting beside Ashper while Ashper hugged her. We stepped out of the car. Rhys helped me. I felt the cold breeze touching my skin for a moment before I felt a warm jacket wrapped around me.

"Huwag mo tatanggalin, malamig." Rhys told me and I just nodded at him before we walked towards Rhea.

Agad na tumayo si Rhea ng makita niya ako. Tumakbo ito at yumakap sakin.

"Thank God, you're here!" Naiiyak niyang saad.

"Hindi ko know kung where ako hihingi ng help. We know Rheniel can't go out this late. Same as Jaime, may problem din siya. I think you are the one who can help me with this. Thank you, Ave." She kept on crying as she hugged me.

Gusto ko matawa kasi conyo talaga isang to minsan. But looking at her now, she's helpless and vulnerable. Why Tito and Tita kept on meddling in Rhea and Ashper's relationship? Can't they be just happy for Rhea? Anong masama magmahal? Dahil mahirap lang si Ashper? Darn it!

"Here's the key of the house and here's the bus ticket. Pagdating niyo sa Antique, sumakay kayo ng bus papuntang Iloilo. 3 and a half or 4 hours nasa Iloilo na kayo niyan, depende sa bilis ng sasakyan na sinasakyan niyo. Tapos mag taxi kayo pahatid sa pier. Pag dating niyo sa pier sumakay kayo sa bangka papuntang Guimaras. Pag narating niyo ang Guimaras, sumakay kayo sa jeep na papuntang Nueva Valencia, okay?" I advised them.

They both nod.

"Don't worry, walang masyadong signal doon kaya hindi nila mata-track ang tumatawag sa inyo kasi hindi kayo makakatanggap ng tawag dahil nga walang signal masyado doon. And please turn off all your gadgets. Magpapadala ako ng bodygurad ni Mommy doon para makarating kayo ng ligtas. Pero uuwi din sila pagkatapos nila kayong maihatid. Go now, baka maabutan pa kayo ng tauhan ng Daddy at Mommy mo." I told Rhea.

"P-pero..." Ashper spoke. Hindi niya naituloy. Halatang kabado din siya at hindi alam kung ano ang sasabihin.

"If you are thinking about your family, they are safe now. Nasa Antique na sila ngayon, papunta na sa Iloilo. Kung gusto mo sila makausap bago kayo pumunta sa Guimaras, pwede din basta mag-iingat kayo. Pero hindi kayo pwede mag tagal. Nasa Molo, Iloilo sila. Malapit sa Esplanade. Sige na, mag iingat kayo." I hugged Rhea tightly.
