Chapter 12

I've been waiting here outside our classroom. Taking a glance from time to time to my left and right. Hoping Rhys would pass by here before he enter his room. Inagahan ko talaga pumasok para maabangan ko siya rito. I've been waiting for him for an hour.

Tagal naman niya.

Maybe I should wait for more minutes-- or maybe another hour, again.

After an hour, I spotted Rhys walking towards me. I'm preparing myself not to stuttered in front of him. When I saw him near, I ask him.

"Rhys, can we talk?" I asked him. But he just keep on walking without taking a glance on me like I'm just an air.

I sighed.

Maybe later.

Some students are looking at me. There's a judgement in their eyes as they look at me. Hindi ko iyon pinansin. I went straight to the room. I have 1 hour class in Critical Perspective in the Arts. I prepared myself for our first subject this morning. After that, 1 hour class in Architectural Design I: Foundation of Design.

I focused on the discussion. But not all of it sank in my head. I'm preoccupied. I'm still thinking about how can I be able to talk to Rhys.

After our class in Architectural Design, I headed to the library, as usual. Kapag wala akong klase nasa library lang ako. I was reading the Theory of  Architecture  and History of Architecture book. I need to study para hindi ako masyado ma-stress pag na topic namin ulit yan sa lesson. Isang linggo akong wala kaya kailangan ko habulin mga na missed kong lessons. May 2 hours vacant time ako ngayong umaga. I'll spend the 2 hours vacant time here in the library. Magkikita kaming tatlo mamaya sa cafeteria pero lunch break pa yon. I finished reading the books. I decided to take a nap. Hindi ako nakatulog ng maayos kagabi. Na iinitan ako dito sa library. Hindi pa naman ako mahilig magdala ng panyo. Nararamdaman kong bumibigat ang talukap ng mga mata ko.

I don't know how long I slept there. I felt someone again, wiping my sweat on my forehead using a soft fabric.

Shit! Yung multo!

I moved my head a bit and open my eyes but I saw no one except for the bookshelf in front of me. I looked at myself at the mirror that I got from my bag. After that, I gather all of my things and put it inside my bag. But I stopped when I saw a water bottle on the top of my table with a sticky note on it.

"Stay hydrated"

Sinong fuck naman nagbigay nito?

I grabbed it before I stand to return the books. On my way out. I saw Agatha with Theena and Alice walking at my direction. I thought they were heading to the library but, I thought wrong.

"Oh! Hi, Ave. We never thought na papansin ka rin pala." Agatha said before she smirks at me.

"How poor, na snob lang ni Rhys. Do you really think na lahat ng gusto mo makukuha mo talaga? Just because you're the granddaughter of this city's current governor? Hahahahaha wake up! You're not his type!" Theena said before she rolled her eyes on me.

Mama mo type!

I continue to walk and ignored them. They're not worthy of my explanation.

Hindi daw ako type ni Rhys? Pfft patawa ba sila?

That's why he ignores me everytime we met because he's still affected from what I've told him years ago. But, it is still a wrong move. It's my fault anyway.

I don't want to argue with someone just to explain my side, for them to be able to understand me and my situation. I'm walking down the stairs. As I stepped  perfume. But I don't have a chance to look at this guy who's hugging me tightly. I'm enable to move my body and so my head that's why I can't look at his face. I gather all my strength to push him. And I successfully pushed him away from me. When I looked up to see his face, I froze when I realized who he is.

"K-kaiden?"

"Ave, talk to me, please?" He begged.

My anger rose up. How dare him!

"Talk?! What are we gonna talk about? You, cheated on me with someone? Is that what we'll gonna talk about, Kaiden, huh?" I arched my right brow as I faced him with a mad face.

"Ave, I know i was wrong that's why I'm here asking for your forgiveness. Its been a years but I still love you, Ave. I still love you and I always does. Please forgive me. Let's fix it. I don't want to lose you." He plead at me.

"You don't want to lose me?" I asked him then I laughed.

"Too late, you already lost me years ago when you decided to choose her while I'm begging you to stay." I turned to walk out.

I walked fast to  the cafeteria. When I saw the girls, I sit beside them. Maybe they noticed my face.

"What's wrong, Ave?" Rheniel asked.

"You okay, girl?" Rhea looked at me.

"Can you tell us about it?" Jaime asked.

"It's him and he's back." I told them.

"Luh? Eh diba kahapon lang si Rhys topic natin? May amnesia ka ba ghorl? Ngayon mo lang nalaman na bumalik." Rhea laughed.

Ay tanga!

Binatukan siya ni Rheniel dahilan para tumigil siya kakatawa. She glared at Rheniel.

"Ganda ganda mo, tapos ang tanga tanga mo." Rheniel told her. Jaime chuckled.

"I'm talking about Kaiden."

Then they all looked at me.

"Ah si Kaiden lang pala-- WHAT THE F! Si Kaiden?!" Rhea was shocked as she shouted. Nakatikim tuloy ng isa pang batok kay Rheniel.

"Hinaan mo nga boses mo." Rheniel told her before she looks at me.

"Ano nangyari?" Rheniel asked. Jaime listened to me attentively.

"He said, he wants me back."
