Chapter 47

"Please, open your eyes. Baby, please."

That's the last thing I heard before I decided to open my eyes. Nahihirapan pa akong imulat ang aking mga mata. Ni hindi ko masyado magalaw ang katawan ko. Isang nakakasilaw na liwanag ang nakita ko pagkamulat ko ng aking mga mata. Pinikit ko ulit ang mga mata ko at sinubukang imulat muli.

Nang makapag-adjust na ang aking paningin sa liwanag ay agad kong iginala ang aking paningin.

"Ave, you're awake! Thank God!" Jaime exclaimed. Khaiden was on her side.

I frowned. I thought she was living with her husband abroad.

Iginala kong muli ang aking paningin. I'm probably at the hospital. The smell of the fluids, white ceiling and wall, hospital bed, and unfamiliar things around my body.

My eyes grew big when I so my big stomach.

What the heck?!

Nagpanic agad ako. I don't know what happened to my baby. How the hell my stomach turns into this?

"My baby!" I panicked.

"Oh my gosh! Calm down, Ave. It's not good if you panic." Sinusubukan akong pakalmahin ni Jaime habang si Khai ay tumatakbo palabas ng room para tumawag ng doctor.

"My baby! What happened—"

"He's safe. Relax, Ave." Jaime assured me.

I frowned at her.

"H-he?" I uttered.

"Yes, it's a baby boy. He's safe. Thank God!"

"You're kidding, right? H-how could my tummy grow like this? I'm just 1 month and 3 weeks pregnant."

"You're in a coma for 7 months. Yesterday, is exactly the 7th month."

I was confused as hell. Bewildered. Unti- unti kong pinoproseso ang mga nalalaman ko sa isip ko.

"W-where's Rhys?" I asked her. Nagkatinginan sila ni Khaiden, ni hindi ko man lang naramdaman na bumalik na pala sa room. Before she could open her mouth to answer me, the Doctor and some nurses entered the room. They checked me and do some test on me.

After it, nagbilin ang doctor kung ano ang dapat at hindi ko pwedeng gawin. Nagreseta na rin siya ng mga gamot na dapat kong inumin.

Pagkatapos umalis ng mga doctor ay agad kong tinanong si Jaime.

"Nasaan si Rhys?"

Nagkatinginan sila ni Khaiden.

"He..."

I waited for her to finish her sentence.

"He? What?" I impatiently asked her.

"He thought you were already dead."

"No, contact him. Tell him I'm alive! He needs to know."

"We can't, Ave."

"W-what? Why?!"

"Ave... ang alam ng lahat namatay ka nung sumabog ang sasakyan mo. It's just your mom, me, and Khai knows that you're alive. Mabuti na lang at nahanap ka kaagad ng mga tauhan ng mommy mo bago pa sumabog ang sasakyan mo. If they find out that you're still alive they will surely hunt you down. About Rhys... Jax told us that he was been miserable for the past months. Dinala ka rito ng mommy mo kasi hindi ka ligtas sa Pilipinas. She hired a private doctor para magamot ka rito habang may inaayos siya doon. When I saw you here agad kong tinanong si tita kung anong nangyari sayo. Nagpacheck up kasi ako rito nung makita kita." She explained.
