Chapter 4

"Tapos na kayo? Pababa na ako." I said.

Pababa na ako ng hagdanan. Sabay-sabay kasi kaming pupunta dun sa band concert.

"Okay na ko. I'll wait for you to pick me up here hahaha." Jaime said.

"I just put make up on my face." Rhea murmured.

"Wait, I can't find my black stilettos. Argh!" Rheniel panicked.

"Okay girls, tatawagin ko lang si Mang Denis." I hang up the phone.

Hinanap ko agad si Mang Denis sa kitchen. Nagtipa ako ng message kay mommy. Sinabi ko na paalis na kami ng bahay, hinahanap ko lang si Mang Denis.

Mom:
Okay, be careful. Be home at 8:30. Update me. And please, Aestrea, behave. Huwag na kayong uminom o kung saan saan pa pupunta after.

8:30 pm, really?

I type a message. Ang aga pa nun.

Me:
But, mom. It's too early to go home. The concert is just getting started at that time. Make it 10:00 pm, please, mom? I promise to behave.

Sana naman pumayag si mommy. Minsan lang siya ganto, lulubusin ko lang hehe.

Mom:
No.

Ang haba ng sinabi ko, ang ikli ng reply.

Me:
Please, mom?

Nagsend pa ko ng sad emoji.

Mom:
Okay, 9:00 pm.

Me:
Make it 9:30, please?

Mom:
9:15 pm. No buts, Aestrea, or else i will not allow you to go to the concert.

Okay, sabi ko nga 9:15 ako uuwi.

Me:
Gotta go. Thanks, mom. I love you.

Sumakay na ko sa sasakyan nang makita ko si Mang Denis na naghihintay na sa labas ng gate.

"Tara na po, Mang Denis."

"Ma'am ang sabi po ng mommy niyo tatawag siya sakin kapag tatawagin na kitang umuwi."

"Yes po."

Nagmaneho na si Mang Denis. Sinundo namin ang tatlo. Rhea looks so gorgeous with her make up. Rheniel is elegant to look at. Her stilettos looks good on her. Jaime on her simple floral dress but she looks attractive on it. She never uses make ups. Ako nag me-make up sakanya pag nasa bahay siya minsan nag s-sleep over. I styled her hair, put her a make up. That's how we spent our time together, aside from talking on how our days going.

While we were on our way to the concert, the girls are too loud. They keep on talking and giggling.

"Boys hunting hahaha." Rheniel said while winking.

"Madami atang gwapo sa mga banda ngayon." Jaime said while wiggling her eyebrows.

"What's 'mga banda'? Eh the band lang naman mag pe-perform." Rhea told us.

We looked at her. A bit confused.

"Diba sabi mo samin 'band concert'? So, madaming banda dun." I told her.

Tamang-tama at kakahinto lang ng sasakyan sa venue. We all went out of the car.

"Oo nga, kaya yung bandang yun lang magpeperfom." She told us.

Napakunot ang noo namin sa sinabi ni Rhea.

"Oh there, look niyo oh." She said, then pointed us the poster.

Sabay sabay namin siyang binatukan pagkatapos mabasa ang nakasulat dun.

"Aray! What was that for?" She asked.

"Ang sabi mo 'band concert' hindi 'the band concert'. Magkaiba yun." I told her.

"Oo nga tss. Kahit kailan talaga Rhea naku! Stress mo bulbol ko." Rheniel said.

"Yun nga. Concert ng 'the band'. Tinanggal ko lang yung 'the' kasi ganun pa rin yun. Duh girls, siponin na utak niyo." She told us.

Sumasakit ulo ko sa babaeng to. It's already 7pm, tama lang dating namin. Magsisimula na ata. Papasok na kami sa gate nung biglang may tumawag sakin. Napalingon kaming apat sa tumawag.

Ay, Aestrea din pangalan niyo ghorl?

"Aestrea, right?"

"Yeah."

"Finally, I met you." He said energetically.

So, ito yung nagtetext sakin? He's tall, handsome, maputi at ang ganda ng ngiti niya.

"Oh, by the way, I am Khein."

Inilahad niya ang kamay niya sakin para makipag kamusta. But before I reaches his hand, may dumaan sa gitna namin. I looked at the guy. He's familiar.

Saan ko nga nakita to?

Namilog ang mata ko nang mapagtanto kung saan ko siya nakita. Siya yung lalaki na may masungit looks. And he's also the guy in the poster, the vocalist of 'The Band' band.

"Oh my god! Let's go girls." Tili ni Rhea habang hinihila ako. Ganun din ang dalawa.

"Nice meeting you, Khein. Bye!" I said. Tapos sumunod sa tatlo na hila hila ako.

Nakisiksik talaga kami sa unahan. Maya maya nagsimula ng tumugtog ang The Band. They play the song "Lonely Hearts" by the 5 Seconds of Summer.

Nagsimula na silang tumugtog. I was just looking at him as he played the guitar. His "masungit face" while playing guitar is noticeable. And then he started singing.

"One, two, three"  The women were screaming as he started singing.

"Your type of mind, so hard to find

Down on my knees, I’ll always follow"

My eyes were fixed on him. I couldn't take my eyes off him. It was, as if he was hypnotizing me as he played and sang.

"I promise you until the end of time
Our house on fire, we’re burnin’

I’ll have such a-"

I don't know how long I held my breath as I watched him. Damn! How could he do this to me?

He closed his eyes while playing.

"If you can’t find another reason to stay

After they finished singing the first song, hindi ko na pigilan mag tanong sa mga kasama kong kanina pa humihiyaw.

"Ay, hindi mo siya kilala ghorl?" Sabi ni Rhea.

"Magtatanong ba ko kung kilala ko ha?"

"Ay hehe, Oo nga pala. Si Rhys Aiden yan."

Hmm Rhys Aiden pala.

I smirked to that.
