Angus waited by the lantern, but Malcolm didn't come. So Angus turned and went back again. He heard wailing from an alley and ran inside.
"Mal!" He screamed. Malcolm was beaten up on the floor. "Oh my god. What happened?" Angus cried.
"N ... nothing. I'm fine." Malcolm mumbled and stood up shakily. Angus supported him home. At home he laid Malcolm on the sofa. He was overwhelmed and went to the phone. There he looked at the phone, overwhelmed. He closed his eyes and felt it. Now he knew again what to do and called Bon.
"Scott." It came through the phone.
"Yes. Hello, Bon. This is Angus."
"Oh. Hello, Ang. What's wrong?"
"Can you come over? It's really urgent?"
"What happened?"
"Mal is not doing well at all."
"OK. I'm coming." Bon nodded and hung up. Angus went back into the living room and nervously pricked his fingernails. What would Bon look like? What was wrong with Malcolm?
"Mal?" He asked. Malcolm turned his head lazily. "Who did this to you? Why do you look like this?" Malcolm didn't answer. The doorbell rang. Angus winced a little, but then ran to the front door and opened it. There was a man of medium height standing there. He had shoulder-length, dark, buffered hair and dark eyes. He wore blue jeans and a denim vest. Otherwise his upper body was free. He had tattoos on his arms.
"Angus?" Asked the man. That's Bon! Screamed Angus Mind. "Angus, what's the matter? Why did you call? How is Mal? Is he sick?" That was definitely Bon." Angus. Why are you looking me in the eye?" Bon asked shakily. "Can you ... can you ..."
"See you? Yes. I see you." Said Angus.
"Oh my God!" Bon gave him a screeching hug. Angus giggled. "Oh my God! He sees me! Shit! He sees me! How did that happen? When did that happen?" He asked enthusiastically.
"Later." Angus said quickly. "I'll tell you all about it later, we have to see Malcolm." Bon nodded. The two ran into the house.
"Crap! Mal! How do you look?" Bon shouted and ran towards him.
"I think I'm going to throw up." Malcolm muttered. He turned his head and vomited on the floor. Bon just managed to jump away. Angus looked in shock at the liquid on the floor. What was that? Bon ran into the bathroom and Angus knelt down to touch the liquid. "Angus. Don't touch that." Malcolm warned and vomited again.
"What is that?" Angus asked, puzzled, and wanted to pick it up.
"Don't touch it." Malcolm growled weakly. Bon came back and pushed a bucket under Malcolm. The rhythm guitarist sat up and continued to vomit into the bucket. Angus took some of the liquid in his hand. "Angus." Malcolm grumbled weakly.
"Angus! Put that down!" Bon screamed.
"What's that?" Asked Angus, looking at his hand.
"That's puke, Ang. Go wash your hands immediately." Angus grimaced when he got the sour smell in his nose and understood what that was. He ran into the kitchen and washed his hands. Bon wiped up the mess on the floor while Malcolm gagged miserably into the bucket on his lap. Angus sat down next to his brother. Malcolm was all green and gagged again, but nothing came out as stomach acid.
"I'm dying." He whimpered.
"How did that happen?" Asked Bon.
"Angus, can you ... can you leave us alone for a moment?" Malcolm muttered. Angus nodded and left.
"What happened, Mal?"
"I borrowed money from the Mafia." Malcolm muttered.
"How much?" Bon asked in shock. Malcolm Young never did dirty business.
"Half a million."
"What!?" Bon screamed, his eyes wide.
"I had to, okay?"
"What was the money for?"
"For Ang's eye surgery." Malcolm said quietly. "I found out that something like this is always successful in London and since I had no more money because I had spent everything on Florida, I had to borrow money."
"Are you stupid, Malcolm!? From the mafia!? You should have gone to the bank! Or to me! I would have paid if it was for Ang! Cliff and Phil would certainly have put some money into it, and so would your parents."
"I didn't mean to bother you." Malcolm whispered.
"And the Mafia has done you like that now?" Bon breathed. Malcolm nodded miserably.
"I've already given them money, but not everything. I don't have the money, Bon." Malcolm whimpered.
"I'll give you 5000. And don't talk again, Malcolm." Bon scolded. "I'll ask Cliff and Phil too. I'm not going to watch you get beaten up so much that you vomit blood." Malcolm whimpered.
"Bon, I can't take the money."
"Yes, you can! Stop being stubborn. Does Angus know about it?" Malcolm shook his head lazily. Angus came back into the room. Bon put on his nice facade. "How long can you see something again, Ang?" He asked gently as Angus sat back on the sofa.
"Since today. Mal and I were in the city. He showed me so much. I can do the colors and so much more. But I still have a lot to learn." Angus smiled warmly at his friend.
"I can't tell you how glad I am that you can see. How is it when you don't see anything all your life and then suddenly you do?"
"Kind of weird." Angus muttered. "For example, I imagined Malcolm to be very different."
"Younger and half as drunk." Malcolm muttered. Bon giggled.
"Mal promised me to teach myself to read and write and then I'll get a driver's license." Malcolm smiled at his brother. He had never seen him so happy. "And then I can live my life as I always wanted." At that, Malcolm's smile stopped. Didn't want to live with me? Malcolm asked himself in shock. Did he only do it because I always helped him?
"Now we can be a real band." Said Bon.
"Yes! And I can finally see the audience! Oh god, I'm going to have stage fright." Bon chuckled. Malcolm carefully got up and went into the bathroom. There he looked at himself in the mirror.
"Didn't he want to live with me?" Malcolm whispered. He washed his face and vomited again into the toilet. This noise drew Bon's attention and he ran into the bathroom with Angus. Malcolm whimpered in agony.
"God." Bon muttered, handing his friend a wad of toilet paper. Malcolm wiped his mouth, whimpering, then flushed the toilet. "Go to sleep, Mal. You're exhausted. Come on. I'll take care of Angus."
