As eleven opened the door to her bedroom she turned back to look at Nancy and Robin they both smiled to comfort eleven and then she slipped through the door. To her surprise max was sat with her knees under her chin on elevens desk chair with one of elevens oversized flannels on. Max was scribbling something on a piece of paper.

"Good morning max," eleven said cautiously, as she went and sat down on the edge of her bed. she then used her powers to carefully turn the chair round to face her. Max then brought her head up from her knees and looked deep into elevens chocolate brown eyes. Max loved eleven she had never had a proper Girl-friend before, back in California she only had guy friends, her bestfriend was called Nate but they all left her because billy used to bully them.

"Hi," max replied sheepishly, then managed a half smile in elevens direction. el smiled back and then took a deep breath, she decided not to tell max about how her mother and Neil had disappeared and that she was going to live with Robin. She didn't even no if max could handle that and it was el biggest aim to try not to distress max anymore then she had to

"okay, umm max," eleven couldn't help but get lost once again in maxes beautiful green eyes glistening in the sunlight peering through the curtains,

"what, el?" max questioned,

"Oh, err sorry , umm so max, your hurt?". "right".

"oh umm yeah," max said as it caught her extremely off guard,

"yeah, your hurt by Neil, right,"

max couldn't even reply with the word yes because she wouldn't be able to say it with out crying, so she just knodded and buried her head back into her knees, to hide her tears. Eleven knew max well, she know her for nearly two years and she knew that max always had four wall up and eleven had only seen them down once, when billy died.

flashback begins

starcourt mall, summer 1985

eleven was on the floor merely escaping with her life as she looked up she saw billy grab the mindflayer tentacle and push it as hard as he could, but in the background she could hear maxes shrill, "Billy!"

then more tentacles shot into billy body until he fell to the floor, max ran to him and fell to the floor, shaking him and eleven started to see tears roll down her face. she kept saying "Billy wake up, Billy wake up," it was breaking elevens heart. She collapsed into elevens arm and eleven could only hug max tight and she looked over at robin who came and pick max up and carried her out the mall.

End flashback

"okay so max, eleven began again," you have to show me, Robin and Nancy your umm where your hurt," eleven look at maxes face and a silent tear rolled down he face and just like at starcourt and in elevens kitchen yesterday, max began to cry, her breathing quickened and she stood up, then collapsed again the wardrobe, making a loud crash, she then back up against the wardrobe and lower down until she was in a ball on the floor crying and hyperventilating, Robin and Nancy burst in and saw eleven panicking and shaking , tears where rolling down her cheeks rapidly as she look at max having a complete mental breakdown on the floor. Robin kneeled down and laid max down on her legs, she slowly stroked maxes hair out her face and took some loud big breath in and out, in and out. instructing max to do the same. Nancy pulled eleven in to a hug to hide her face so she couldn't see max and distress el more.

Nancy guided eleven out the room and sat her down on hoppers bed.

"El, what the hell happened?" Nancy ask trying her best to calm el down.
