chapter 6

"max," el stuttered as she wiped her face with her sleeve and smiled, "can we talk?".

eleven walked through the door way and sat in her chair as max answered, "sure,". "Robin you can go ill be out in a minute,"

"take as long as you need, I'm gonna go call Steve and tell him to bring scoops over," both max and Robin giggled simultaneously, and then robin joined Joyce and Nancy in the living room.

"who's scoops?" el ask trying to start a awkward conversation,

"oh umm, scoops is robin and Steve's dog, they named him after the ice cream shop, you Remember scoops ahoy right, we got ice cream there once," max said

"yes. I remember." eleven said not knowing the right words to say max. there was an awkward silence until max stood up and grabbed elevens hands and pulled her up out of her chair to the middle of the room. she look into els eyes and smiled, a real full smile of joy. "eleven look at me," el looked up at maxes and couldn't resist getting lost in her deep eyes, "el, " max paused and hug eleven close in the middle of the room the two girls stood hugging each other and both had this felling in the bottom of the stomachs. max then without releasing their hug whispered "thank you," in elevens ear.

after a few more seconds Joyce shouted, "girls Food!". they both rushed into the kitchen starving. all the girls, will and hop all sat around the cabin Nancy, Robin and Joyce on the couch El and max on the arm chair practically sitting on top of each other, neither minded thought and hop and will sat at the table, they all chatted into the early evening.

Eventually Joyce will and Nancy left and hop, el, robin and eleven where all just chatting. Hop had moved to he lazy boy chair and Robin was still on the big couch by herself because el and max where still squished up together on the arm chair. Suddenly el hand slipped on maxes inner thigh. Eleven didn't even realise but max defiantly did. she didn't dare move and make it immediately awkward. she had tones of butterfly in her stomach and finally it clicked in her brain, she liked eleven!

then before max could ponder on her sudden realisation a obnoxious honk sent shivers down the cabins wooden wall. eleven jump at the noise and her hand moved back onto maxes hip. "oh max that's Steve, he said he'd pick us up after his shift at the video store, grab all your stuff, lets go," robin said as she frantically grabbed her jacket and bag.

max grabbed her skateboard and began to take off the flannel she'd borrowed off eleven. But as she took it off her shoulder el stood up and pulled it back up," keep it. I've go loads that are practically the same," el said smiling as she grabbed maxes skateboard from the floor and handed it to her. "see you soon,".

"yeah," max said, she was lost for words as elevens action caught her extremely of guard.

"max, come on," robin said with a slight rise of urgency in her voice, "coming!" max yelled as she grabbed her shoes and followed robin out the door.

she got in the back of Steve's car, and robin got in the passenger seat, "seatbelts," Steve said as he turned around and smiled at max.

"yep," max replied and smiled back. that was the only word she spoke the whole car ride, she just sat watching the bitter autumn wind brush the car window. All she could think about was Eleven.

eventually they pulled up to the apartment block, and the three of them got out the car. Steve when to go to talk to one of his friends who was having a cigarette outside, meanwhile robin buzzed number 6 and the door unlocked, "Max," robin called, as max snapped out of her trance and looked up at Robin, "Yeah, sorry,"

"if you ever get back and either me or Jamie are in you just have to press the number 6 buzzer and someone in the flat will buzz you in, okay"

"yeah okay,".

Robin then opened the door and walked in, max followed. they ran up two flights of stairs and finally arrived at a green door labelled number 6. Robin unlocked the door and heled it open for max. " go ahead," Robin gestured for max to walk in, so max wiped her green high Top vans on the welcome mat and walked in, Robin followed.

The apartment was cluttered but in a non messy way. there were movie and band poster all over the walls and as maxes walk into the living room, there was two, 2 seater couches and a tv. there was a small wall covered in polaroid picture and a big shelving unit, full of VHS tape, Books and cool bit of clutter like a rubix cube that immediately caught maxes eye. Her dad taught her how to solve them in 14 steps and he taught her how to lock pic with a bobby pin.

"hi guys," a voice spoke from the small kitchen to maxes left.

"Hi Jamie," robin said as she threw down her bag and kissed the girl that walked out of the kitchen on the cheek.

max look the girls up and down and was in shock. she was really pretty. she had freckles all over her face and blond hair with a streak of white. she had a nose ring and was wearing a green raincoat big baggy jeans and doc martens.
"Hi I'm Jamie, you must be max," she said placing her hand out for max to shake.
" oh umm hi," she stuttered and put out her hand, they shake hands and robin then tap max on the shoulder, " common max I'll show you your room, "she said she walked max to her room and opens the door.

Max looked in and saw a twin sized be with one pillow and no sheet, there was a dresser and wardrobe up against the wall and a bed side table with a lamp. "tomorrow me and Jamie will take you to the mall, you can pick out some cloths and some room décor," Robin said placing her hand on maxes shoulder. " yeah in this house we are big on décor," Jamie added and all three girls giggled.

"can eleven come?" max asked whilst putting her skateboard down on the floor and her bad on her bed. "ooohhh, who's eleven?" Jamie asked teasing max, "no one, um err just a friend," max stuttered. " sure," Jamie said as she left the room leaving max ad robin alone.

"max," robin spoke as max grabbed a hanger to hang up her red adidas jacket.

"yeah," max responded sitting down on the bed to face robin.

"uno you can trust me, right?" 

"umm yeah i guess,"

"well that mean you can tell me anything, maybe something you haven't told anyone,"

"oh right, okay then,"

"is there something you want to tell me, maybe about a certain brunette?"

"you mean eleven, we are just friends,"

"i saw you guys on the armchair, and what i saw seemed more than friend to me, but if you say so," Robin said as she got up to leave the room,

"Robin! wait," max blurted out as robin span around and walk back in the room,

"how did you know?" max asked

"know what?"

"uno, how did you know you were , um gay?"

hehe, i like this chapter, but I've been trying to update this book once a day but i dont wanna rush it so expect a chapter every day or so, at least until lockdown is over. but anyway i hope you enjoyed the elmax stuff in this chapter, and dont fear more to come and can i just say how much i love Robins and Maxes relationship. But anyway by for now
