I just thought that sounded like a neat title for a story!! :>
How about one day there is a group of children one day they are eploring, there countryside, they are carrying lanterns, maybe they could be Amish, they find a huge Mountain, somewhere out in ten buck two, they have been told a legend since they were little kids by there families, there is a tree with a spell carved onto the trunk, the legend goes that if one of them says the spell by the light of a full moon, the Mountain that is really a giant sleeping will awake. The teenagers think it is just a silly kids story used to scare children into going to sleep. They don't think it is true, so on a dare, they dare one or two of them to sleep out by the Mountain, than when the Moon is full, they say the spell, nothing happens after awhile, so they think it is just a story, all of a sudden they see the Mountain crumbling and cracking, they see a huge giant awake and yawn, from being asleep for years and years. The giant could have had a spell put on him by a Witch, for some reason, can't think of a reason, ( drawing a blank :> ) The giant wonders who awoke him. he looks around. The two Amish girls, back pedal and hide in the forrest, maybe the giant could read there feelings or thoughts and find them, thank them or or get them to trust him.
This is IndigoWolf13's idea over at deviantart.com. I think a good scene for that is if you had maybe 3 or 4 teens and they were telling a scary story about the giant (a while after they had said the spell) and as one of them says the part about the giant bursting out of the mountain, it wakes up.
