How about there is a small village in renaissance time ( my favorite time period :) )
a woman has a spell placed on her by an evil sorcerer. she appears on a guy's chess board. but she goes back to being a chess piece during the day or nite. So, when whichever day or nite she is not a real tiny person, The giant guy, notices, the chess piece is moved each day or nite. Because she is from the another time, she is not familiar with today's technology, which makes her even more scared and a fish out of water, plus encountering the male giant. The giant is fascinated by this, tries to befriend her. Can they get along, when they are from two different times in history ? If anybody would like to write this, please feel free.
