"Sylveon, can you find her aura?" Sophie asked, as the pair trudged through the forest. The fox-cat shook her head, looking pretty upset. Sophie sighed, neither could she.
"Hey, Sylveon, am I a bad trainer?" Sophie asked.
'What? No way!' Sylveon reassured, wrapping her feelers around her trainer. 'I know what happened with Scorbunny must have shook up old feelings, but still! You're a great trainer. The others and I think so.'
"Thank you, I guess." Sophie said, trying to convince herself as well. "Maybe I should have considered Aka's feelings as well. I guess I really did let her down. Still though, how far could she have ran?"
'Scorbunny are very energetic. She could have crossed the borders between Galagon and Unova.' Sophie just sighed.
"I'm sorry, Scorbunny, just...please come back."
Unbeknownst to the two of them, Scorbunny was actually above them, laying in a branch and eating an apple. Scorbunny had a glint of hope in her eyes as she heard the conversation.
'You know, maybe her wish can be fulfilled.'
--------------------------------------------------------
"No luck?" Goh asked, as Sophie and Sylveon walked back into Scorbunny's room. Sophie and Sylveon shook her head. "Tough break, I guess."'Will Aka ever come back?' Vulpix asked, jumping onto Sophie's shoulder.
"Hopefully..." Sophie sighed. "Anyway, our battle starts in 10 minutes, so Mizu, are you ready to go?" Mizu nodded and Sophie picked her up, and the trainers and Pokemon left the room.
--------------------------------------------------------
Sophie and Goh took their places on the battlefield, glaring at the opposing trainers. There was that abuser, and some guy from Unova."Alright, this battle is between Beta Sophie and Ace Trainer Goh, and Trainers Lia and Rinu! As stated in the previous battles, this is a three-on-three with substitutions. Now, bring out your first Pokemon!"
"Alright, Altaria! You better do this right!" Lia yelled, the same one who hurt both Aka and Mizu. A shiny Altaria was brought onto the field.
"Okay, Raboot, show your stuff!" Goh called, and Raboot hopped onto the battlefield. Rinu released a Darmanitan. Sophie just glared at Lia, pulling out a Heal Ball.
"Alright Lia, I know what you've done." Sophie said.
"Wh-what do you mean?" Lia gulped, crossing her arms. "Even if you are the Princess, you can't make up claims!"
"We can talk later, but are you sure you don't recognise her?" Sophie arched a brow, tossing the Pokeball onto the field, revealing the Fox Pokemon.
"No! You! I left you in Sinnoh!" Lia stammered, and the stadium broke out into worried murmurs.
"You admit it then?" Sophie asked. "All words you say will be used against you."
"I-I....I didn't-AH! Altaria! Steel Wing!" Lia snapped. Altaria did so, cloud wings becoming steel, charging for Vulpix.
"Dodge and use Blizzard!" Vulpix vaulted over Altaria and blasted the Dragon with a frosty breeze, which froze Altaria.
"Steel Wing or you're not getting anything tonight!" Altaria gulped and attacked once again, but Vulpix ducked under her wings and launched a beam of ice at her.
"Threatening your Pokemon does not make you look good, Lia."
"Shut up! Altaria, Sky Attack!" Altaria swerved into the air, cloaking herself in a harsh white glow, before crashing down into Vulpix. The fox didn't have enough time to dodge so she was pushed into the wall.
