Is it too late to say that Ash, Sophie and Serena's Pokemon all know more than 4 moves? Why? I mean, if Ash's Snorlax knows 5 moves, then I'd assume that since Ash, Sophie and Serena are the most powerful trainers, their Pokemon would like break past the four move barrier. If it seems too OP, just know that the max moves known by a Pokemon is 6. That being Ash's Greninja, Sophie's Sylveon, and Serena's Braixen.
The Christmas special is not canon, but Gladion and Sophie's friendship, Goh's new Key-Stone, and the fact that Goh and Gladion recognise each other are canon. So, Sophie will give Goh a Key-Stone but just not yet., around after the Galar Arc.
Round 2 had just ended, meaning from here on out, every battle would be a fair 1-on-1. Currently, Sophie, Ash, Professor Aspen, Goh, Clemont and Bonnie were gathered at Ash's private arena.
"Okay, what the heck am I wearing?" Sophie questioned, pointing at the small Battle Pulse Meter on her and Sylveon's wrists and feelers.
"Well, it's a device that used to be able to measure Ash's and Greninja's bond during the Bond Phenomenon." Aspen explained. "If you battle and transform using this, I can record the data and determine...stuff."
"Is that all?" Sophie asked. "I kinda want to battle now."
"Oh, one more thing, this updated version measures your aura as well." Clemont added. "We've theorised that since you and Sylveon have known each other for way longer than Ash and Greninja, your bond has gotten so strong, your souls have connected as well."
"Well, A+ explanation but, can we battle now?" Clemont and Aspen nodded their heads. "Finally.." With that, Sophie and Sylveon took one side while Ash and Greninja took the other.
"Alright then!" Bonnie yelled, acting as referee. "Battle begin!"
"We'll go first!" Sophie called. "Use Fairy Wind!" Sylveon's feelers spun, creating a burst of pink wind that pushed Greninja back.
"Alright, Night Slash!" Greninja summoned a pair of black shards and chased for Sylveon.
"Grab him and use Fairy Wind!" Sylveon's feelers wrapped around Greninja and she blasted him with another Fairy Wind.
"Shadow Sneak!" Greninja broke free from Sylveon's grasp and turned into the shadows.
"Alright Sylveon, watch it!" Sylveon closed her eyes, letting her ribbons flow free, trying to locate Greninja. Her eyes flew open and she shot a Moonblast towards her right, knocking Greninja out of the shadows.
Sophie and Sylveon smirked.
"Ah!" Goh gasped, pointing at the monitor. "Their wavelengths are matching up!"
Sure enough, as the wavelengths indicating Sophie and Sylveon's auras, blue for Sophie and red for Sylveon, synced and overlapped, Sylveon was engulfed in flames, leaving only glowing blue eyes.
Ash nodded. "Okay Greninja, let'z get stronger!" Greninja was too engulfed in water, but the water pulled apart, forming into a shuriken on his back, and he appeared to resemble Ash.
"Water Shuriken!" Greninja ripped the shuriken off his back and hurled it for Sylveon.
"Burn it." Sylveon's flames glowed red hot, feelers grabbing the shuriken, and the shuriken turned to mist.
"Now, Moonblast!" Sylveon launched a ball of pink mist at Greninja, knocking him into the air. Ash winced, clutching his thigh.
"Water Shuriken!" Greninja pulled out another two shurikens and launched both at Sylveon. With no time to dodge, Sylveon was struck head on. Sophie gasped, suddenly feeling a searing pain. Was it her, or was her whole body on fire?
