Coming home

Kara just left. She left me just like that. All alone. She gave me an envelope to give to Lena for when she would wake up, but who knew when that would be? It could be days, weeks, months, or even years from now. No, not years, oh god please not years! Plus who knew why Kara left and when she would come back. She told me she was going back to Argo city, but why? What could have happened that made my sister want to go back to her home? And why did she leave an envelope for Lena? I had so many questions, that I needed answers for.

Kara

I was back home. It all looked the same. It looked like krypton but it wasn't, it was Argo city. I got off the pod, I had seen someone approach me, but I couldn't quite put a finger on it. MOM!!! Is that you??!! I quickly ran to her, I would have run fast with my super speed, but here in Argo City, I don't have my powers because of the sun. "Kara, my sweet daughter", she told me with a sweet calming voice, as I hugged her. "Mom, I've missed you so much!", I said as I cried onto her shoulder."

"What brings you to Argo city? Is it another alien invasion?", my mother asked with a not so surprised look on her face.

"No, actually, I-uh," I said nervously as I scratched my head.

"Oh my nervous Kara, just tell me, it's ok!", she spoke with a slight laugh at the end.

"Actually I'll just tell you later, its not that big of a deal anyway! How about we go get some lunch and catch up?", I didn't want to tell her the real reason I "ran away" from Earth. Because I was afraid to admit my feelings to my best friend and that she was in a coma. 

"I-uh, Alright fine, but your gonna tell me everything at lunch, the reason why you are here and your life on earth", she said with a tone in her voice that I had recognized before, like, like Lenas CEO voice. A small tear fell down my cheek, but I quickly wiped it off so my mother wouldn't ask why I was crying.

"Alright, but first I need a change of clothing, this suit is killing me!", I said as we walked down the hill that led to this sliver building with big glass windows.

"Ok let me get the bread rolls, hold on, don't start eating yet KARA!", my mother told me as if I were a 5-year-old.

"Alright mother!", I was eying the chicken as if it were about to fly out of the plate.

"Ok, there! My goodness, you listened to me!", she said with laughter.

"AHAHA, yea that's the first I don't attack the food!"

"So, umm Kara, why did you come to Argo City?"

"I-uh," I said as I looked down at my hands.

"Kara, look at me, it's ok, you can tell me."

"I came to Argo city to run away from my problems back on Earth."

"What do you mean by problems?"

"Well you see my best friend, Lena is in a coma. And I couldn't bare to see her in that bed everyday suffering anymore. And, I-uh, might be also running from Lena because of something else."

"Am so sorry to hear that Kara. And something else? Kara, what do you mean? Did something happen between the two of you?

"Yea. I told her that I was supergirl, I should have told her sooner but I was just so afraid to lose her. But I ended up losing her anyway. She got mad at me and she ended up getting really drunk and that's why she's in a coma. Because she fell off a step stool. It's all my fault. I put her in that coma.", I told my mother as I sobbed into my hands that rested on the table.

"Kara, it's ok, don't worry! What you need to do is fix things with Lena when she wakes up. Explain why you were so afraid to lose her and why you didn't tell her sooner about your secret. You can't give up on your friendship so easily. That's not like you Kara Zor-El. You fight back for the people you love, you find a second way through, if not maybe a third way. You always have hope that things will turn out alright.", she told me with an appeasing tone in her sweet voice.

"There's another thing mother."

"What is it, sweetheart?"

"I also came to Argo City because I wanted to get away from Lena because I might have feelings for her, more than friends, mother. I was afraid to admit to anyone because I thought everyone would be upset."

"Kara honey, it's ok. Am sure everyone would understand, I mean isn't Alex gay? She would accept you for you, and so would your adoptive mother and everyone else."

"I know mother but, how do I know if Lena feels the same way about me? And what if she doesn't?"

"Kara sweetie, if she doesn't like you back then you just move on. You keep going. Find someone else. Someone who will truly make you happy."

"Thank you mother!", I stood up from my chair and gave her a hug and a small kiss on her forehead. "Thank you for listening to me, I love you!"

"I love you too, Kara!"

"Now! Let's clean up, so we can get going!"

"Get going? Where are we going?"

"You will see! Your gonna love it! I promise!"

"Ok!"

"Mother what is this?", I told her with a concerned look on my face.

"This was where your father would work, and where we put all the stuff he owned in memory of him."

"This is beautiful!"

I looked around the place to see if I could find anything I could bring back home. Yea I said home. After thinking about it, I thought it was best to return back to my family; Alex, John, Winn, James, and Lena. Especially Lena. I need to tell her everything, all my secrets, the way I feel about her, and explain to her why I was so afraid to tell her about me being supergirl. But I wasn't ready to go back to Lena still being on the bed. I wanted to come back home to her being awake. I just wanted to hug her so bad.

"Kara! Come look at this!"

"What is that?"

"Your father used to use this to find out who someone was?"

"Like a scanner of who you are?"

"Not really but something like that. Do you wanna try it?"

"Uhh. Not really. It looks pretty scary. AHAHAH!"

"Alright! Did you find anything that caught your eye?"

"NO. Wait what is that behind that gun thingy!?"

"I don't know! Let's check it out!"

"Is that-?"

"It's your father's bracelet!"

"Can I keep it, mother?"

"Kara sweetie, what kind of question is that! Of course, you can!"

It was my father's bracelet. It had the words El Mayarah. Stronger Together.  It had our family's crest on it as well as blue and red beads. I wanted to keep it so I could give it to someone special. Lena. She was my best friend. And I loved her so much(like a best friend, maybe a little more than a friend tho). She was literally the other half of me, and together we were stronger. She was the perfect person to give it to.

"Mom am going to give this to Lena!"

"Thats a great idea Kara!"

"Alright how about we head but home?", my mother told me as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.

"Ok! By any chance do you guys have any potstickers or pizza here?!"
