MIDNIGHT TALKSAGES:
Peter: 17
Edmund:14"Ed...are you awake?" Peter whispered as silently as possible.
"Yeah..." Edmund replied, also in a whisper. It was the 23rd December, and both brothers had been missing narnia more than ever. Of course they have, Christmas was always so amazing and joyful in narnia.
"Wanna talk?" Edmund added, as he could tell that something was on peters mind.
"Yes. But let's be quiet, because I don't want mum to tell us off" peter explained as she quickly sat up.
Edmund and Peter both flicked their bedside lamps on.
Edmund slowly made his way over and sat on the end of peters bed.
"I just miss narnia...a lot" peter admitted. "And especially now that it's Christmas. The whole kingdom was always so happy and the decorations and the atmosphere was so beautiful"
"I know...I miss it too." Edmund replied, as he also began to think about narnia.
"It's just hard to get something like that out of my head." Peter explained.
"That's understandable. We all miss it Peter. But at least we have each other"
"I guess you're right..." peter replied with a brief smile.
Edmund could tell that Peter was exhausted and was already fighting to keep his eyes open. For worrying about not being able to get back to narnia could make one very stressed and tired.
"Try and get some sleep. And hopefully you'll have a great dream about us being back in narnia" Edmund suggested with a smile.
"Good idea..." peter muttered, as he seemed to be dropping off to sleep already.
"Thanks Ed..." he added. And with that...peter seemed to fall straight asleep.Edmund didn't go back to his own bed straight away. He slowly reached and turned peters lamp out before sitting back on the end of the bed, watching his brother.
He knew Peter had had a really rough time with adjusting back to being in England, and Edmund had vowed to be their for him whenever he could. This being one of those times.
So he continued to sit there, watching his brother sleep. He was probably sat there until morning, but Edmund didn't mind. He just wanted to make sure his brother was okay and happy.
