"YOU KNOW YOU'RE A FUCKING CHILD, RIGHT?" Osamu commented, walking through the doors of the school. "You've come up with stupid ideas before - ones that fall into the Hall of Fame of Stupid - but this has got to be the top one."

Atsumu gave a cheeky smile, munching on his breakfast. "I'm telling you, it'll work, Samu. Why wouldn't it?"

Osamu sighed, feeling his patience already running thin with how stupid his brother was being, though this wasn't a new fact. He knew Atsumu was an idiot. The two were quite close being twins, but there were times when Atsumu deserved a swift and hard kick to the ass- more than once.

"Well, for more than one reason. One: you are an idiot. The possibility of you coming up with a plan that will not go down in flames is unlikely. Two: Jurine hates you. Like, if she could get away with murdering you and setting your body on fire, she would. Why do you think making a bet with her is going to be anything but a hot mess? All you do is piss her off which you do with flying colors. Why do you care so much?"

Atsumu couldn't explain it. He couldn't put into words why he felt the need to be around Jurine so much. After all, it was obvious to anyone she hated him- to the very core of her, but that just made it all the more fun whenever he would mess with her. He liked to see her reactions. Jurine didn't speak to anyone except her cousin and when she did speak, she did not show any sign of empathy. She always wore this placid expression on her face and he felt the urge to unlock what was behind it.

Not to mention, he couldn't help but wonder why she had such hate for him. It was one thing if he did something to piss her off, but she hated him from the moment they ran into each other on the first day as first years. It was like she was determined to dislike him from the beginning. Why was that? It wasn't like he actually did something to her.

It was hard to explain just why he loved teasing her so much, he only knew that he loved it. The only thing that surpassed it was volleyball and fatty tuna. Atsumu did not have a definitive explanation as to why he felt the desire to tease or to defend her from Yui Sugimoto. It was true he didn't care for his fellow second-year, but he was also aware she bullied various other students. He didn't feel the need to step in with those incidents, so what was so special about Jurine being the target?

Maybe he liked being the only one to get any sort of a rise out of her?

He did know that he wanted to see just how far he could go with her. How far could she last from his teasing? Like Osamu said, he had hardly talked with her until their first year at Inarizaki. Before meeting her last year, he's never seen her before. He didn't know anything about her but he was curious to learn everything about her.
