Chapter 13

Dry leaves and twigs crunched underneath our feet as we walked through the forest, hand in hand in a comfortable silence, or at least, he seemed comfortable. I was still a bit... twitchy. I knew that Erick was long gone, but that didn't mean that there weren't more people out there like him. Even with Drake by me, I was scared. I sighed, and tried my best to push the thought to the back of my mind. Soon enough, we stopped at a clearing, and my jaw dropped.

"Wh-what is this place?" I whispered, in awe. There was a giant tree in the middle of the clearing, and it was surrounded by sparkling water. It was dead, but it looked beautiful with its long, light brown branches dipping down into the water. The tree had the tiniest bit of compacted soil, like a minuscule island, surrounding the bass, but it was mostly submerged in the water. The surrounding trees' leaves formed a canopy over us, and the moon provided some light, shining in the purple sky.

"Before I met you, I came here to just think sometimes," he said suddenly.

"It's beautiful; when did you find it?" I asked. Drake laughed bitterly, and I raised an eyebrow.

"I came to this forest to kill myself," he began. I gasped. Drake was suicidal? "When I was looking for a good place to do it, I stumbled across this area. I realized that there was some beauty left in the world. I changed my mind."

Silently, I wrapped my arms around him, like he had done for me so many times. Smiling, he bent down and gave me a soft kiss.

"I have something for you," he mumbled. We sat at the edge of the little pond and he wrapped his arms around me from behind, and put his legs on either side of me. I sighed contentedly, and leaned back into his chest. He shifted a little, and pulled something out of his pocket. Curiously I took the medium sized black box from his hand.

Opening it, I gasped when I saw the bracelet inside. It was simple; it was a chain made of delicate, silver loops. A small, diamond encrusted 'L' hanged from one of the loops.

"Want me to help you put it on?" he asked, and I nodded numbly. He fastened the delicate looking clasp around my wrist, and I stared at it in awe, entranced by the way the starlight reflected off of the charm.

"Thank you, Drake," I whispered.

"It was nothing," he replied, and squeezed me tighter. We sat in silence for a few more minutes until he broke it once again.

"I love you Lexi... So so much," he whispered. I could feel my heart swell up like the Grinch's on Christmas at his words.

"I love you too, Drake," I whispered. Suddenly, I was on my back, and a serious looking Drake was leaning over me. I stared into his dark eyes before he closed the distance between us, and we joined in a tender kiss.

He nibbled on my bottom lip slightly, and I let him in with a low moan. I felt his erection pushing into my thigh, and I grinded against him slowly.

"Stop teasing me," he groaned.

He kissed up and down my neck, pausing in certain to suck and gently nibble on my skin. I eagerly tangled my hands in his hair, pulling his body closer to me.

"Drake!" I moaned when he found my sweet spot, right on the side of my neck. I felt him smirk, and he began to suck on it, getting more and more rough with each passing moment.

His hands lingered at the bottom of my shirt, and I realized what he was doing. I arched my back, making it easier for him to lift my shirt off. I pulled his off in turn, and traced my fingers up and down his back.

Slowly, he brought his hands to the clasp on my bra, and soon it joined our shirts on the ground. Subconsciously, I tried to cover myself with my arms.

"Don't... You're beautiful," he whispered, voice husky. I smiled up at him, and grabbed his hands. I brought them down to the button on my pants. I knew exactly what I wanted. I let him unbutton them, and pull them off.

"No fair," I whispered, unbuckling his belt. He smirked, and pulled off his own jeans. A strange hunger seemed to wash over him, and he practically ripped both my underwear and his boxers off. I blushed as his eyes raked shamelessly over my body. Nervously I looked down and saw just how huge he was. I was kind of scared to have something so big inside of me.

"Like what you see?" he asked arrogantly causing me to blush. He positioned himself, and looked at me expectantly.

"Please," I groaned. He kissed me softly, and slowly slid himself inside.

An hour later, we lay tangled together in the soft grass.

"I should get you jewelry more often," Drake muttered.

"You don't need to get me anything," I laughed.

"I love you, Lexi," he whispered, pushing my hair behind my ears.

"I love you, Drake," I whispered, and kissed him slowly.

"Let's get dressed, I told your dad I'd have you back in a few hours," he said, smiling. I nodded my head, and we began to dress ourselves.

"Drake?" I called as I pulled my jeggings on.

"Yeah?"

"Do... Do you mind if... Can I count you as my first time?" I asked awkwardly, now facing him.

"Of course not," he smiled, happiness shining in his eyes.

"Thanks," I mumbled, feeling shy. He grabbed my hand and we walked back out of the forest.

At home, we let ourselves in and went to our room. Yes- ours; it took a while, but when Drake moved in, Willow eventually convinced Dad to let us share a room. Of course Dad checked on us every five seconds, but we didn't really mind. We had never done anything anyways... until now that I. I felt blood rush into my cheeks just thinking about it.

"Thank you again, Drake," I said, fingering the little 'L' charm.

"No problem," he grinned, pecking me on the lips.

"We should take a shower," he muttered, and sat up.

"Wanna come?" he added. Blushing, I nodded and followed him to the shower.
