It was early in the morning and I decided to whip the girls up a nice breakfast before they awaken. Just like I'd imagine Mal was the first to be up. She had her daughter on her chest as she walked in the kitchen. "GoodMorning, I made breakfast. Would you like for me to bring you a plate?"
"Um, I'm ok for now. I just need to focus on my daughter."
I nodded and continued to fix my mother's tray with food."Morning Mama!" I smiled as I eased into her room slowly. "GoodMorning son." She smiled as she finished putting her hair up. "Made you some breakfast."
"Thank you so much! I love you." She smiled hugging me and kissing my head.
"I love you too!" I smiled as I placed her tray down on her small dresser and left out to give her space.I went to the kitchen and grabbed Mal's plate. I placed her plate on the table close enough to her. "Whenever you have time, please eat." I said and walked away.
Since I already ate my breakfast, I decided to get ready to help Mal get her things. I really hope there's no commotion because I don't wanna deal with any of this. Mama had finally finished her food and I quickly cleaned up the kitchen. She was helping Mal tend to her daughter so she could eat.
"Hey, whenever you are ready just let me know. I have some of my friends coming to help you and security just incase you have any problems."
"Thank you Roman." She smiled and continued to eat. That was the first time I ever seen her smile at me. It warmed my heart because she was so damn cute with a feisty attitude.Once she was ready, I had my boys out and ready. She kissed her daughter and we made out way out the car. "Thank y'all for coming! Just needed an extra hand." I smiled cheering on my boys. "All ready know! We gotcha!"
I opened the door for Mal and she got in with me following behind her. My driver was off to her house.
It's been so long since I seen these places and so much has changed since I've been away.
"You live in this gated community? School, park, y'all have everything here."
"Yea..." she said dryly.
"When I was here, none of this even existed. This is new to me." I smiled looking out the window. She didn't say anything, she kept her head turnt away.We finally got to her house and clearly somebody was there. It was a beautiful two-story house. Nice yard that was gated in and kept well. Beautiful flowers and multiple nice cars. A house like this makes you think the perfect family lives here. But, looks can be deceiving.
We hopped out and she unlocked the gate. Me and my boys made our way as well following behind her. The door instantly opened before we could even get to the door step. Mal walked up and began talking to the guy. This guy was definitely her husband, I could tell by both of their body language that there was going to be a problem.I stepped onto the porch looking the guy right in face. His face eased down, but he definitely had a snobby attitude. "Let her in..." I said sternly looking at him. "Who are you?" He laughed. "The guy who's gonna beat your ass if you don't let her in. She needs her stuff and she's gonna get it one way or another. I also don't want to be here, so don't piss me off." I smiled pushing the door open. "Don't test me...Go Mal, you're ok."
"I'm calling the cops, all of you get off my porch! Get off my property!"
"Call them, this is her house. She invited us, so..." I crossed my arms looking at him. "Come on boys, go help her get her things. Me and her husband can talk while y'all do so..." I smiled at him and signaled my boys on in.
"Just let her get her things, then we will go."
"She's not as innocent as you think! This is my house and none of you are allowed."
"Shhhh, calm down." I laughed. "I got a question for you...You like to hit women?"
He looked at me shocked, full of rage, and he looked me in the eyes. This guy was probably the same height as me, but he was as thin a tree limb. "Wanna hit me?" I asked. "I want you off my property."
"After Mal get her things, then sure. I don't wanna be here, but you're gonna let her do what she needs to without any problems." I brushed passed him and searched for Mal. She was upstairs in her bedroom grabbing her boxes that were already packed. My boys were taking them out to the truck. Mal continued to stuff everything she needed into whatever boxes she could. Her face was filled with fear, her hands were shaking, and she was on survival mode. I gently reached my hand out to her and she looked at me. "It's ok, we're here for you and we are not going to let him do anything. You don't need to be scared." I reassured her and her face eased down, her body relaxed after I said that. She continued on quickly getting her necessities.
