March 22, 1952

Today is Samantha Elizabeth Carr's birthdate. How did we get here? Well it was like this...Calantha woke up the morning of and immediately grabbed herself a mug and brewed her breakfast roast coffee. She had just gotten married three years prior to a lovely handsome charming man named Brandon. He loved her with all of her heart. Calantha wished her mother could have joined her wedding plus her other daughter, who shall not be named because she was replaced with her, but wishes them a happy life because that's the person she was.

Indigo was still sleeping. Later that day, Brandon came home from the market. He brought in some fresh herbs, blueberry pie, spices, and lamb. They were having lamb for dinner. "Hello babe." Calantha said. "Hi babe." Brandon said before they shared an intense romantic kiss. "What was that for?" "Just because I love you." Brandon walked over to the counter and put the groceries down so he could hug his very pregnant wife. "You know who I saw at the market today?" Calantha reached down to take a sip from her coffee. "Who?" Brandon didn't want to tell his wife but she needed to know. "You're mother." Calantha froze and settled her mug on the table before she dropped it. "You saw who? What!" She jumped because she was so riled up. She had the decency to go to the same marketplace that she went to than the one in her castle. "What did she say?" "She told me that she missed you at the christening." "They had yet again another baby, hm, why the hell did she not give me a note?" "Probably because you would get mad at her for not showing up at the wedding." Calantha started tearing up. "I just can't believe she would do this to me." "Do what?" "Make our baby farther down the line to heir." "Baby, she will be heir to queen in our tiny kingdom. After Indigo of course. She comes frist."

After Brandon consoled Calantha, she rubbed her tummy, feeling the baby kick. She smiled. The queen of hearts didn't try to make an effort. Calantha waited for a response to why she didn't show up to the wedding but alas she didn't receive a letter. Out of hope for the family Calantha wrote up a note. She put all of her feelings in this letter telling her how awful she is at being a mother. That she didn't care about her enough to raise so she sent her away to a poor couple who were generous enough to allow her to be part of their family. That for some dark reason she decided to have a new family with her on the sidelines. That she hated her for everything she put her through. And worst of all that she married her step-brother's dad after killing his aunt which she thought was his mom.

"There done, I'm over it, mother. Sincerely, Calantha." She put on a stamp and walked to the mail box and slipped the letter through. Brandon wanted more than anything just for this family to feel complete so he couldn't bear to see Calantha like this; destressed, so he walked up to her. "Hey, I'm going out." "Where are you going?" "To your mother's castle." "Why go to that hellish place?" "She doesn't control you anymore but you still think she does. I don't want that for you." "She doesn't control me." Calantha said holding Brandon's hands. "How do you know that for sure?" "Because I trust myself. So should you, trust us." Calantha said and hugged Brandon. "If you want to go then we'll go together."

They left with Indigo in a stroller and it wasn't a hard journey at all because the castle was just beyond the village. Over the hills and through the brush was the massive castle hearts. It stood valiantly on top of hill mount. The towers were vast and the tips were massive. There stood the queen herself on the balcony on the second story. She placed her hands on top of the sill and watched as her new comer guests arrived at the front.

"Mother, our guests have arrived. Do you want me to let them in?" Daren said. "I'm coming." Ruby said. Ruby turned around and kissed her baby on the forehead and left the bedroom. She walked swiftly through the hallway and managed to get to the staircase before her husband Daren did and opened the door. "Hello, may we help you?" She said with a snicker. "Mother, not funny, we're here to discuss something rather concerning with you." "Then come in if you must." When Calantha and Brandon walked in they noticed Rosette Thorn standing at the staircase two steps up. "Hey Calantha." "Now what is it, lame excuse?" "Mom!" "What?" "I should be enough for you. That's part of why we're here." "Elaborate please." "Will do." Calantha said.

"Mom, why didn't you come to my wedding?" Ruby thought long and hard for this answer before she realized what was the point. "I didn't go because I didn't approve of your fiancé but you didn't care about what I had to say so I didn't go. Why didn't you come to the christening to our darling Nathaniel?" "Maybe because you shut me out and had another kid to make mine farther down the line to rule." "Oh I did, oops." That irked Calantha so much. For once she just wished that her child was the ruler of her kingdom. Nothing hurt more than the resentment she got from her mother years ago.

It's what she doesn't know that's changed her mother's heart; turned it black.

Long ago in wonderland she had a crush on a boy. His name was Phillip. One day they were meant to be wed but her mother killed her fiancé and he died in her daughter's hands.

Everyone thought she killed him and she got angry and chopped off one of her subjects' heads. "Off with your head!" She said as the massacre happened. "Who's next. Get in line." But no one got in line so she went home and found her lover there on her bed gathering bugs. He was placed there by her mother, and she killed her too with her axe. That's how the legacy started. Then came Alice...you know the rest.

The only reason Ruby had a black heart was because of her mother. She was a good person up until that point in her life. She knew her mom was only trying to prove a point. That gave Ruby a nefarious idea. She will prove the point her mother did, by killing the man Calantha loves. But how exactly? He can't very well die by axe. She got it. It would be the fastest death there is, drowning. Just four minutes and you're out. It will look like he committed suicide.

"Mom...MOM!!!" "Huh what???" "I asked if we can tour the castle. Brandon still hasn't seen it." "Sure. Daren will give you the tour?" "And I'll deal with the death trap." She thought. Thirty-three minutes later Brandon Carr was found dead by Calantha. He was laying in the fountain, his head submerged. "No! Brandon wake up. Wake up." She committed CPR and it didn't work. She listened to his heartbeat. That didn't work. And she even kissed him. Even true love's kiss couldn't wake him up. Nothing would save him. But how did he get from the tour to the fountain? He was snatched and plunged by Ruby. Ruby came out with Daren and Rosette Thorn. "Oh my gosh what happened?" "I don't know. He was with me until he disappeared for a moment to find the restroom and now he's dead." "I can not believe this." Daren said. "I can." Ruby said. Calantha thought for a moment. She couldn't be wrong. Her mother killed him. "You did this to him." "I beg your pardon? You come into my home and interrogate me and now you blame me for his death?! You have some nerve. GET OUT NOW!" "I should have known. You didn't approve of him and you never cared for him. I'm sick and tired of you mother. I will leave. You and your perfect family to rot in hell." Calantha stood up and left the kingdom crying her eyes out.

That was the last time she ever saw Rosette "Her replacement".

When she returned to her home, she ran into the bathroom an cried some more. At 7:20 pm her water broke. She got in the bathtub and had her baby Samantha. She held her baby in her arms and watched as her hands fidgeted with her mommy's hand. She was a pure vision. It was just hard to think that she will never know her father. "I hope you're watching this, Brandon, and know we will always love you." Calantha said.

"So where are we supposed to put this plant?" Emery asked. "Where it's needed." Pearl said holding the plant. They were still in Finland. "My feet hurt." Vivian mentioned. "I don't care at all that your feet hurt. For the hundredth time I used to not have to use feet." Mara Mae said. That shut her up. "I don't have human feet so I'm great." Cooper said. "That...is...great." Ian said and fell to the ground. Emery and Pierce helped him up. "Thanks...guys." Ian said. "Anytime." Pierce said. "When are we supposed to know when the time is for the wrath of Ashlynn Carter?" Vivian asked. Pearl turned around. "I know you're tired, I am too, but I don't have all of the answers, I'm not even in my adult years and I still don't have a boyfriend. I have two good friends and have to look after you guys so if you most mind will you shut up?!" Everyone was in shock. They had no words at all. Cooper wanted to say, 'You're right', but no words came out of his mouth. Pearl turned around and began walking again.

The moon shown bright on that night. That's when Cooper looked up. He saw that the moon was full and glowing coral blue. "Hey guys...look...up." He said in fear. Everyone stopped walking so they could look up at the sky. "Uh oh." Pearl said. "What does that mean?" Vivian asked. "It means it's time." Emery said.
