December 17th:

Jaymi P.O.V

“What to do? What to do? UH! I know! Let’s bake cookies!” “Olly last time we baked anything we ended up snogging for so long that it burned down most of the kitchen!” “We’ll just keep it down this time!!” “Fine you get the dry ingredients and I’ll get the wet ones.”

He jumped up and ran to the kitchen. Sighing I followed him into the surprisingly small kitchen. It wasn’t that small but compared to the rest of the cabin, this was the smallest room. It had black countertops with white storage spaces under them and small spot lights in the ceiling. At the end of the room there was a huge window with a view over the forest outside.

As we started to mix the ingredients in a bowl, I feel something cold hitting my neck. I turned around and saw Olly standing there trying to hold back a giggle fit.

“What. Did. You. Just. Do?” “I might have thrown some flour at you?”  “Oh really?” “Yeah...” I gathered some of the flour from the table and thrown it in Olly’s face, so it made him look like a shocked ghost.

It soon turned into a full on flour war, and there was flour everywhere! After a little while we both looked like ghosts, and the cookies were long forgotten.

I reached out after more flour, when Olly took the bag and emptied it over my head.

“OLLY!” “Haha what?” “Come here!” “No!” “Yes!” “No!” “Well then I’m coming after you!” I ran towards him and wrapped my arms around his waist before he had a change to run away again. He looked up at me and I just couldn’t resist his puppy eyes, so I leaned in and kissed him.

The kiss turned into a full-on snogging session before the oven made a very loud noise that scared the both of us. We put the cookies in the oven and when they were done, we went into one of the three billion living rooms there was at this place and watched a movie.

“I’m gonna go make some hot cocoa, okay love?” Olly said before skipping out of the room, leaving me to choose a movie. After debating for a few minutes I decided to go with Love Actually, he came back with the cocoa.

I turned on the movie and we just watched it in silence, cuddled up on the couch, enjoying our holiday together. The way it was meant to be.
