Willow snuck out of the village, diving towards the trees, knowing the route by heart. Willow flew down towards her meeting place to wait for Sundew. She waited for the Jade frog. The most beautiful dragon she had ever seen came walking towards her, her eyes scanning the trees.
Willow flew down from where she was sitting on the branch, smiling. Sundew's eyes shone when she saw Willow. Willow threw herself into Sundew's wings, laughing. "It feels like I haven't seen you in forever!" She exclaimed.
Sundew buried her head into Willow's shoulder. "It does."
Willow pulled away from Sundew's wings. She felt overwhelmingly happy. "What are you waiting for, let's go!" She exclaimed, flying past the trees.
Sundew laughed, "Coming!"
Sundew caught up to her quickly. They flew side by side and Willow smiled warmly at her. Willow landed, Sundew came to sit beside her.
"What's happened now?" Willow asked, sensing anger in Sundew, that was normal, but Sundew sighed. "Belladonna wants to go fight the HiveWings, which I have nothing against." She added. Willow's jaw dropped. "She can't fight the HiveWings! There's too many of them!" Sundew shrugged. "I'm going to have to go with them," She said slowly. Willow flared her wings. "No you don't!" In desperation she added. "You can come live with me! With the LeafWings!"
Sundew shook her head. "I can't."
Willow frowned. "Yes you can! Please don't go!" She begged, staring into Sundew's eyes.
Sundew looked away, towards the PoisonWing's village. "You know I can't, Willow."
Willow took a deep breath to calm herself down. "You're going to get killed, and the HiveWings will know we're still alive!"
In a fierce tone Sundew said confidently. "I won't let them hurt you," She promised.
Willow smiled sadly, twining her tail with Sundew's.
"Hey," Sundew whispered, "Don't worry, we'll be fine."
Willow turned to her love. She gazed into Sundew's bright golden eyes. Sundew brushed her wings with Willow's. "I love you, Willow." Sundew said fiercely.
"I love you too, Sundew," Willow whispered back, leaning on her shoulder.
Sundew grinned and flew off quickly, Willow followed her, laughing. Sundew led her to an open part of the Poison Jungle. She buried her talons into the ground, Flowers sprang up from the ground, and Willow squealed with delight. Sundew smiled as Willow flopped down, rolling over, looking up at the stars. Sundew laughed and flopped down beside the SapWing. Willow pointed at the stars.
"Look how beautiful the night is." Sundew turned her attention to the sky.
"Please don't go." Willow whispered.
"I have too." Sundew exclaimed.
Willow shook her head. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."
Sundew looked sad for a moment. "It's...different at the LeafWing village." She trailed off.
Willow sat up. "Then come live with me! You'll love it here!" She said desperately. "Please. For me..."
Sundew got up. "I can't. At least, not yet," She added, seeing the hurt look in Willow's river deep eyes. "I have a purpose, a mission, for me to do. I was hatched to do this." Sundew said confidently.
"To do what, kill HiveWings for something most of them weren't alive to do, for things that aren't even their fault, for things their queen forced them to do. What about the SilkWings, Sundew?" Willow pleaded.
Sundew dug her talons into the grass. She didn't like arguing with Willow.
"Willow, the HiveWings tried to kill us all, and cut down our trees."
Willow sighed. "I know, and she is the one who deserves to be punished."
Sundew nodded. "The SilkWings follow her like brainless worms."
Willow's gaze softened. "They're just trying to survive, Sundew, maybe if you see it the way I do-" Willow trailed off.
Sundew got up, wrapping her wings around Willow, pulling her into a hug. "Let's just enjoy tonight, no more arguing," Sundew said, changing the subject.
Willow smiled, "Alright, deal."
Sorry this one was so short, I had no ideas for this chapter- sorry
