Cricket exhaled softly, pity reflecting in her warm eyes as she gently lifted her chocolate gaze to focus on the window in front of her. Her hand absently stroked through Blue's thick, curly hair, folding through his dark, delicate curls.

She looked down to focus on the handsome head in her lap. Blue hadn't moved in about an hour, the only movement being the subtle motion of his quiet breathing.

Cricket had been quiet for awhile, partly cause she didn't know what to say. She frowned, her lips twisting downward as Blue exhaled slowly, his eyes dull as if the life had been drained from him as he stared blankly at the ceiling above them.

It had been twelve hours since Luna's passing. It was still quite a shock to everyone. Blue, who has been unable to be in the same location his older sister had been only a few hours ago, had decided to come over to be with Cricket. No one protested.

Now the two teenagers sat in silence, basking quietly in each other's comforting presence. Cricket gently lifted Blue's bandaged, injured hand to examine it closely. She gently leaned in to press her lips against the soft, wounded flesh, a sad huff escaping her mouth as a frown continued to crease her tender lips.

Blue sat up for a moment, his eyes grazing across Cricket's beautiful, welcoming face and he let his head rest on hers as she just froze in a flustered surprise. She tried to smile at him before leaning into his chest, her lip quivering.

She let her hands wander around his back as she hugged him closely, her face pressing into his chest, her shoulders instantly relaxing as she breathed in his sweet, comforting  scent.

"I'm so sorry." Cricket whimpered, her voice shaky and soft. Mournful cracks edged at her saddened tone. Blue's response was an agonizing, grief-stricken sigh. Cricket felt her heart shatter in her chest.

The teen felt a hesitant arm drape across her shoulders. She shifted her position, granting her chest the freedom to press against Blue's familiar structure. Cricket yawned, letting her eyelids droop. She wouldn't mind getting some rest...

Cricket's head snapped up as she heard the familiar sound of her mother's car pulling into the driveway and she reluctantly ripped herself away from Blue, but she allowed herself the freedom to let her head rest on his shoulder and she watched the door, waiting for her little sister to burst through the white painted doorway.

Bumblebee burst into the minute living room. She carried a bright, pink book bag with Disney princesses on the outside covering. Her footwear consisted of bright, pink light up shoes that squeaked obnoxiously with every quick footstep.

Blue's eyes flickered to rest on Bumblebee's childish features.

"Cricket!" Bumblebee squeaked, rushing over to her older sister. Cricket's eyes grew watery and she hugged her little sister tightly, pressing firmly against Blue.

Bumblebee blinked at Blue. "Hewo. Am Bumblebee." She stated firmly, intent on acknowledging her presence. Bumblebee never third-wheeled. Under any circumstances.

"I'm Blue." Blue responded with a forced, pearly white smile. His lover's gaze softened as she sadly closed her hand over his and he sighed, leaning into her touch almost instinctively.

Katydid was next to enter the small, tidy house.

"How are you two doing?" Katydid asked in a concerned, motherly aura.

"Not well." Blue admitted, unable to look Katydid in the eyes.

Katydid understood this and didn't press him further.

"Would you like some tea? Water?" Katydid asked, moving to the kitchen slowly.

Blue shook his head. "No thank you." He whispered, his voice hoarse.

Cricket agreed with him. "I don't want anything either." She murmured.

"MILK." Bumblebee blurted out.

"Mother, I crave milk." Bumblebee announced loudly, making sure her request was acknowledged.

Katydid nodded and slipped into the kitchen, a nervous aura surrounding her as her hands quivered.

Bumblebee bounded after her mother, skipping with innocent life in every step.

Blue envied her innocence.

His happiness had been abruptly robbed from him from the sudden, unexpected death of his sister.

Blue could hardly forgive himself for the accident.

Maybe if he'd tried harder - she wouldn't have died.

Maybe, if he had cared more, he wouldn't have let her drive.

If he had known that it would be her death date, he would've hugged her, and reminded her how much he loved her...

But he hadn't, and now Luna was gone forever.
