Aunt Julie (Cause why not?) ------------------------>
*Mads POV*
It’d been all of 24 hours since Matt had dragged me away from Josh at the church and forbid me from leaving my room. I’d resorted to writing random stuff out in my notebook and talking to Nala about my problems. Matt brought me food and let me go to the bathroom and I had a shower but that was it. I was actually hoping he would be sending me off to rehab soon so I could leave my room.
“Matt!” I yelled. I had a favor to ask him.
“What do you need Madeline?” Matt grumbled as he walked into my room. He’d also turned to calling me Madeline most of the time now.
“I have a favor to ask. Well it’s more of a question actually…”
“What is it?”
“Can I please have my phone or computer back or go outside? Pleaseeeee”
“Do you not understand when I say you can’t leave your room till you go to rehab?”
“But Matt I am so fucking bored in here! Just give me back my phone or computer or something!”
“No, you’ll contact Josh and I don’t want you talking to him anymore”
“You can’t stop me from seeing him if I really want to!”
“I’m your legal guardian so yes I can”
“I can do whatever I want Matthew!” I got off my bed and stood up.
“You’re not leaving this room till I say so”
“Watch me,” I challenged. I pushed Matt to the side quickly and made a run for it down the stairs. I almost made it out the door but Matt had put a chair in front of the door and locked it so as soon as I got the door open Matt grabbed me and hoisted me over his shoulder. I screamed and kicked and hit Matt as he made his way back upstairs.
“You brought this upon yourself Madeline,” Matt said calmly. He threw me down on my bed and stood right in front of my now closed door.
“I’m your little sister Matt! Your own flesh and blood and you’re treating me like a prisoner!”
“Mads I just want what’s best for you”
“This isn’t what’s best for me! Seeing Josh and being happy is what’s best for me!”
“Josh isn’t what’s best for you!”
“I don’t care! He makes me happy! I can’t just leave without saying goodbye to him!” Matt looked like he was thinking really hard and having a war with himself.
“Okay fine! You can call and you have one hour!” He enunciated one hour to make sure I understand. I could work with one hour.
“Yes! Thank you so much Matty!” I reached up and locked my arms around his neck. I pulled out of the hug and smiled at him. He rolled his eyes and pulled my phone out of his pocket and handed it to me. Matt left my room muttering something about how conniving I was. I dialed Josh’s number and waited for him to answer.
